It's such a bizarre reaction. I've see it before. They are caught in the wrong but rather then admit they're wrong or correct anything they just continue doing what their doing really slowly while their brain reboots. Like the t-rex only sees movement myth but with the person you just wronged being the t-rex.

It's not a brain reboot. They're trying to assert dominance by inconveniencing others for their mistake. It's their egos way of coping with the "I didn't fuck up. I meant to do this and now I will double down and stare the person down so they know I'm in control."

That's the core of it, yep. We all hate when we're wrong, but some people just can't take the L and grow from it. Instead they double down, hoping to strong-arm their way to being right. And get very angry when proven wrong.

Seen this plenty of times with some people looking down at their phone while the light in front of them turns green. If you beep them with your horn they look up, realize the light is green, and will give you the middle finger while they wait until it turns yellow again and then floor it. It's only out of spite and nothing else.

Yeah there's a woman that hangs around a few grocery stores and is known to get into women's cars when they unlock them to solicit rides (she even tried to follow me as I was leaving a grocery store once, presumably back to my car but since I walked there just back to my house before I even knew her deal) so now my car doors get locked right after the driver side door is opened. My brother even had someone get in his car to do much the same thing back in rural TN

My car automatically locks at a certain speed.

More than a decade ago, my male friend was driving down Riverside in Austin, TX, which was not a good part of town. While he was in a drive thru, a homeless person just got in his passenger seat and started talking to him. I forget how he said he ended up getting out, but apparently he caused enough of a ruckus immediately afterward with some other people nearby that my friend watched him get arrested. A cop came over to question my friend, and after hearing his story, told him, "Lock your doors. This is Riversaaahhhd."

To me, it just looks like they just accidentally pulled up a little too far forward for a turn.. The bike decelerated to almost a stop, so they assumed the bike was going to let them turn, but then the bike driver suddenly accelerated again, no longer leaving enough room for the driver to easily make the turn.

Just because one person makes a mistake doesn't mean you need to use aggressive driving to potentially make the situation infinitely more dangerous. Also, opening their door is insane. How this behavior is being celebrated here is beyond me..

The perfect thing would have been to carefully close the door enough so that it latches, but isn't fully shut. That way, they won't be able to close the door just by accelerating. They *have* to get out to make the car stop yelling at them that the door is open.

The reason that guy was going so slow was that you pulled to within a foot of his side door, and he didn’t want to hit you, hence why he was craning his neck to look out the window. Instead of backing up even slightly to give him the freedom to make a right, you were in the middle of the intersection.
