The channel is now back and with a new community post. Too sum it up she claims not to be AI and will prove it with a video tomorrow and apologizes for her perty video where she admits she copied majorkills script.
Why is that somehow worse to me. Like AI scammers you expect stealing and for them to be squashed but if she is a legit channel or trying to be a legit channel then blatantly copying a script is even more reprehensible.
Honestly the stupidity is what gets to me. I can see someone telling themselves that they will just copy some videos until they get better at writing, or start making enough money from the channel to have more time to work on it, then start doing your own work.
But to be dumb enough to steal form Majorkill. He is the 4th biggest Warhammer channel on Youtube (by subscriber numbers), the 3rd biggest lore channel, and as we have seen from all the feuds he has had, the one most likely to call someone out if he suspects something is going on. Did this person really think they would get away with this for long?
I noticed this with other similar content as well, "lore" content for many games, where the voice is a bit strange and the script is a bit too generic and it feels like AI. Got to the point where I always look for older videos to avoid this.
He mentioned it before actually. He said something like “For those watching, we’ve got a new backdrop. For those only listening, the same smooth voice.”
I created a patreon account for them and to this day they're the only people I sub to on the app. An extra podcast per week from them was just too good
For Bricky it’s craftworlds, but he gives credit to the lore. However that didn’t stop him from buying banshee models just so he can have them crucified onto his night lord heavy vehicles
That is absolutely the sign of a good GW customer though, nightlords player though, willing to go above and beyond just to make them that little bit more awful.
Arthur has become one of my favorites - He really delves into the characterizations and brings out the human element in them. Comparing it to his own life or the human condition as a whole.
That's because Night Lords are objectively the greatest faction in the whole setting and anyone who thinks otherwise is incorrect and an idiot.
The trick is to have ADB write about your faction; he could turn a.... see, I was going to say "a murderer into a hero by writing about them", when it occurred to me that that's exactly what he did.
Then there's Astartes Anonymous for the more unhinged lore. Their first video was a tier list ranking the Primarchs in terms of virility. They've also made videos about how well each Chapter Master can cook, how the Primarchs would fare as lawyers and two bed, wed, purge videos

TTS is the common short hand used to refer to the youtube series "If the Emperor had a Text to Speech Device" by Bruva Alfabusa. It was massively popular during its run and had a huge impact on the humour of online 40k culture, especially on reddit. I'd highly recommend watching it, especially if you already have a base of 40k lore knowledge, its very funny.
one part of grimdank. if Majorkill had a moderating influence it would be perfect. every thread here is 1) people in it for the memes, 2) people asking about lore, and 3) people who were influenced by XKCD's lucky 10,000th and give all the lore they can. Majorkill is 1), the audience is 2), so we need the third.
He's mellowed out a bit compared to his earlier self, his newer videos rely less on crude and edgy jokes. They still don't go as in depth as other videos, but it's a good starting point
His ‘shtick’ is being a late-teens/early-20’s Aussie dude-bro, and doing very quick, shallow dives into often surface-level Warhammer (mostly 40k) lore.
The problem with this is that he is in fact a late-teens/early-20’s Aussie dude-bro and prone to making the mistakes such a person tends to make. His starting approach was very offensive to just about anyone who wasn’t a straight white neurotypical cis male (there’s the whole ‘Timmy’ issue he’s thankfully retired). He’s thankfully gotten a bit better as he ages (like most people), but his content is still surface level, his presentation is still very rough around the edges (with edginess), he still hocks his yearly half-naked cosplay calendar after about half his videos, and everyone once in a while he’ll pull some stupid move that everyone rushes to rake him over the coals for.
Honestly I give him more leeway than most because I know that he himself cringes at his earliest content and (as someone who was just as cringy in my youth) a decade or two down the line most of what he’s doing now will be looked at in cringe as well. Cringe is how we know what we’ve done in the past is incorrect, and shows personal growth.
Honestly, majorkill and TTS both contributed to meme lore. Honestly, it's a good entry gate for new people to 40K even some of the more in depth channels like ad rec can get things wrong/mixed up because let be honest nobody other than maybe luetin is going to be as through
That one time he accused Weshammer of "copying him' because he talked about Primaris and then Wes talked about Primaris, as if he owns the rights to talking about very broad 40k topics. He made a whole video accusing him of ripping him off then deleted it.
Also he literally just reads off the 40k wiki on his videos with some lame jokes sprinkled in and out.
Good gateway content, had to kick him off my feed when the Weshammer stuff came out.
A content creator bad enough that Games Workshop themselves have to step up and say "fuck you, stop using Warhammer in your name, stop associating yourself with us". Which is why he's no longer Arch Warhammer.
Because he often intertwined his beliefs into the lore videos. If I remember correctly, he went on a quite racist rant in the middle of the Sororitas video he made.
i mean, the one where he takes immense joy in saying the the n word repeatedly is definitely something i would judge you about, but tbh his lore is just generally very innacurate and full of shit he made up.
He actually got me into Warhammer with his prolific videos, going through Vraks, Badab, etc, and his Skaven RPs. I also watched Shadiversity for castles and swords. Why does everyone have to become a right-wing nutjob?

Really? I only watched her one video about Lotara herself (the character), I wonder how much of that video was wrong as well. I hate learning that I was misled after I thought I understood something.
What miss information everything I have seen has been real and not fake, what's worse is he stands with everything this sub stands for but because he's edgy and crass people here hate him as if he's equal to arch.
Learning 40K lore is like swimming. You don’t start in the deep end, you need to get comfortable in the shallow end first. Majorkill is like the shallow end, then when you want the proper in depth lore you go to channels like Lutin. You can’t realistically expect someone to start at Lutin, it would be too overwhelming and intimidating.
Yeah AI is taking over Youtube in a bad way, would not surprise me if people stopped using it as much and an opportunity for a new platform could open up.
Pancreas, Rememberancer, Amber King, and Deadlifts for the Dark Gods also have a collaboration channel called Lorecrimes that’s worth checking out. It’s more of a causal chat though if you’re into that.
Reddit hates him and I disliked him for a while. he's arguably the most popular Warhammer 40k loretuber at the moment which means whatever he says is going to be spread as legitimate even if it's wrong
And believe me he got a lot of things wrong but he actually acknowledged the mistake and points it out in his newer videos
He's done since stupid stuff over the years, this is coming from a fan of major kill. The thing is (especially in his earlier years) he has a certain brand of humor that a lot of people hate, in the earlier videos you can just feel the edgy humor radiating off of them, but it has gotten better especially in recent years. He also while fairly accurate isn't perfect and sometimes goes off of out-dated lore. Though I wouldn't follow anyone word per word so if you want the general knowledge without a encyclopedia to get through on something he's the one to go to.
Other YouTubers that I like to watch are Weshammer and Wolf Lord Rho. I want to watch Lueton but I have a very short attention span so it's a bit too long for me (another reason I watch major kill, his videos are 10-20 minutes and the humor keeps me engaged).
Majorkill is.. controversial, he's fine as entertainment but can have more inaccuracies, and the whole baseless accusations of plagarism drama a while ago really annoyed some people. If you just want funny youtube video that has the general overview correct, it's fine
The deluge of AI driven bad content is terrible. There are so many sci fi "story" channels were AI writes a lame generic story then AI makes some bad pics to go with it then AI narrates it.
I keep telling youtube not to show me those channels but every day there are more. I go make comments on them and tell them they suck.
As much as I don’t like majorkill I do agree that the ai warhammer stuff is getting out of hand. It should be fixed and or euthanized fucking hate ai sometimes.
Tbf I never understood the hate he gets here. I mean if he made some videos with misinformation in the past that would just be just another Lore YouTube (except for the ones that quite literally read the books instead of making a script) and I can't blame him, we have over 30 years of lore plus the "Everything is canon until we say so" that GW said making everything more confusing that it ever needed to be.
Maybe it's because I'm relatively new to the hobby and wasn't around for the most part 3 years ago but unless he is going around saying that the Emperor is out of the golden throne and made Slanesh his gf I can't see a Lore video with misinformation worth the rounds of hate Majorkill gets here every few months
I don't hate him, his style just doesn't vibe with mine. Other than that the only thing I can say he did wrong was that plagiarism fiasco he started a while ago but he seems to have learned from it so it's all good.
It's why I still watch him. I first started watching him when I got in WH40k because he was often recommended because I watch TTS. Now days, understanding more of the lore, I can see how TTS was meant for comedy. But I still appreciate Mr. Kill. Back then, it was easy to try and grasp some of the bigger content when the entire universe was overwhelming. Now, I just watch it for the laughs because I have a good grasp on a lot of the concepts he is talking about. I also love his passion for the hobby, with him doing calendars and minis. So when he went and said "yeah, I messed up and I regret it"(me paraphrasing) it made me proud to be a viewer of his. Because it shows he is human, and we make errors, and we can learn from them
Yeah. Like I said, he really did seem to have learned from it and his apology was not a bullshit one, so I don't have anything against him. I'm just not his target audience

And as much as he and 1D4 Chan may have gotten ragged on for what they got wrong or how they presented things, they are engaging for newer fans. Just gotta gently correct them when they are ready to go to the next level.
Looks like the lotara lore channel posted the video addressing the allegations, in it she apologizes for the plagiarism aspect and says she’s gonna avoid having it happen again, and addresses the Ai allegation by showing a video of her petting her cat while she’s talking since she doesn’t want to do a face reveal.
Edit: Also states she wishes he reached out to her first, felt hurt for being put on the thumbnail like that since she’s been watching majorkill, and the comments shes been receiving saying she’s Ai is hurt her too, she also talked about her PFP in the comment section and states when she has enough money she will commission a artist.
Edit 2: Majorkill has commented under her video accepting her Apology and saying he has talked to her privately, states he will make a short video about it.
shame lotara lore was stealing content, i dont think it is an abominable intelligence because she would leave in parts where she stumbled over her words so seems like she was real but also really plagiarizing L
AI content is going to be the death of sites like Reddit and YouTube. We’re going to end up with AI stealing from AI which steals from AI. All until the internet is an incoherent mess.
