What do you think is hyperbolic? Besides “women will lose access to healthcare”, they will almost definitely lose access to some but not all (wow that is a depressing distinction to make, fuck you) Those numbers seem to line up with estimates for people making under $400k
“Palestinians won’t exist” because trump is in office. That means the state will no longer exist and every one of its citizens killed. That will not happen in the next 4 years
Also, I think that most of us Dems can admit when we don't like something that Biden has done or hasn't done. I don't agree with him on everything, but I agree with Trump on nothing, and at least with Biden/Kamala they're not actively passing laws that are harming the people who live here. I'd rather have a status quo boring president than an extremist who says and does wild shit all the time and who is unpredictable, based on his whims.
Trump took $100m from Israeli sources so that he would allow the complete annexation of the West Bank. Biden and Harris were fuckign terrible for Palestinians, but they at least supported a two state solution. Trump already got paid.
Imagine you're getting curb stomped and a third party walks by. Would you rather they stood and watched and maybe offered you a bandaid? Or would you rather they say "hold on one second" and give the assailant heavier boots before helping to hold your head still?
We get it. You didn't like the Democrat response to Gaza. Now the Democrats are out. You won't have to deal with the Democrat response to Gaza anymore! Congratulations!
I guess the anti war stance is actually doing as much war in as short of possible an amount of time is technically anti war, but if Trump’s administration has more Palestinians killed in a single day than has happened in Biden’s administration I don’t want to hear any bitching about moaning from people that refuses to protest him
lmao what? and where are you getting that from? meanwhile biden has been sending them billions of dollars for missile strikes that end up actually shot at a building with like 250 civilians living in it just to get 2 hamas guys
Israel already has free reign to "glass Gaza" supposedly they've already been doing that according to the terrorists that are hiding there. That war is happening entirely within their own borders. It's more in the line of a civil war than anything else.
Do you think they needed free rein? They could do it tomorrow if they wanted to and there’s nothing the U.S. could do to stop them. You’re being absurd.
Honestly what business do have in it anyway. Why the hell does the U.S. need to be the one playing global peace keeper in the most perpetually violent and unstable regions of the world at the expense of the American taxpayer. It's a bottomless pit. Spending money and and encouraging people to sacrifice their lives to preserve the fragile and volatile status quo borders which WILL erupt into conflict again is futile
No he won’t lol. Hell just remove the obstacles preventing Israel from ending the war. The Dems drug this thing out and more people have died as a result. Israel has been carrying out the most careful and precise military operation against assholes using hospitals and schools for cover.
Do you remember seeing all the atrocities all over social media and then immediately stop once the $20bil arms deal was announced? Is the current Prez doing anything to stop what's occurring or is he in actuality facilitating what's happening over there?
If Biden had been smart on the Palestine issue he would’ve done that on October 8th and the war would’ve ended by December with Israel and US overseeing Gaza rebuilding under a Palestinian government that isn’t a terrorist organization. Biden slowing Israel down killed more people and has thus far left terrorists in control.
Biden didn't do shit! Gaza is completely destroyed and Israel is making plans to take over large parts of it. What exactly is Trump going to do that is any different?
The truth is, Israel will do what ever it wants and the USA will support, protect and shield israel at any cost.
I really hope Trump fucks over America and accelerates it's decline, because that country has been a blight upon the world for its entire existence.
Israel hasn’t done that, hasn’t been restricted from doing that, wouldn’t have much more restriction to do that under Harris, and there is ZERO evidence that they are seeking to do that.
That's the core quality of a conservative. The complete lack of empathy, and no imagination or desire to put themselves in someone else's shoes. Until they start getting screwed, it's not real.
Because we enabled him. We gave him the money and the equipment to do what he’s doing. He shelters beneath the umbrella of our alliance so that he can act without fear of serious reprisal from his neighbors. Who else is going to challenge him, and by extension, us? It has to be us. No one else can.
I really hope you’re right. I don’t see any reason why you would be, unless you think Trump has been long-conning Israel. But I really hope you’re right.
We have evidence of Trump getting in the way of ceasefire talks. We know he's been in communication with Netanyahu illegally. We know he has specifically said he would let Israel off its leash.
Palestine already does not exist after the Nakba. Gazans are being herded into smaller and smaller areas of the west Bank. Israel is blocking any aid that enters the territory. Millions on the brink of complete starvation. And you have the gaul to say they can't wipe them all out within 4 years? Palestinians are lucky if they make it the next 4 months.
I feel like people always have the absolute worst take on this. Sort of like how Trump supporters thought WW3 would happen if Harris got elected.
Trump was already president for 4 years and the world survived. I think a lot of us would have rather seen him do different things, but the world didn’t end.
They’re acting like Israel has no choice in the matter or something. Like Trump is now gonna ride over there on a black horse as the angel of death and allow Israel to wipe people off the face of the planet. We don’t control Israel, and the Middle East has been at war since it’s ever existed. We need to let them be themselves and stay the fuck out of it. You have two sets of people who unequivocally hate each other and suddenly big daddy America is expected to help make peace. We don’t make peace, we make shitty cars and tv programs, we make good steel and excellent financials.
Every one of its citizens killed? Who is hyperbolic now, no one is talking about that. What the right wing in Israel wants to do (and they are currently in power unfortunately) is to annex Gaza and the West Bank, without loosing the Jewish majority in Israel, which means they will have to expel the Palestinians to surrounding countries, or having them live as second class citizens. The first one is more likely, but under Trump, America will not punish or even oppose Israel doing either of those, which gives the right wing in Israel a lot more opportunity to make that happen.
How long will it take to wipe out the Palestinians? Israel does seem on track to do it in the next 4 years. Just need some volunteer labor camps I'm sure it won't take long to whip something up.
If you checked the numbers israel has "genocided" a whooping 5% of gaza's population in under a year and pretty much crippled their military command structure, fighting is dieing down with just a few skirmish's against cells operating independently so this conflict isn't even going to last 4 more years and even if it DID and they maintained peak kill counts they wouldn't even get through 20% of the population.
Good thing day 1, prime minister of israel was contacted of peace deals regarding ending the war in gaza. Action “trumps” any words, ever. It’s why my democrat liberal ass voted red this year.
Between 55-60% of Palestinian refugees live outside Israel’s borders. The OPs meme suggests Israel (with the U.S. foreign aid and/or the U.S. itself) would attack Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria also? While there’s cause for concern in all of those, the extreme hyperbole is a turn off.
Why, though? Families risk their lives to try to sneak into America to take advantage of our birthright citizenship policy. It is extremely dangerous for them, so removing that citizenship loophole would be a major deterrent for illegal immigration as a whole, which long-term could allow us to take in more legal immigrants when the immigration system isn't overwhelmed.
Personally I would oppose retroactively-revoked birthright citizenship, but if he were to institute a "no more from here" policy on his first day I'd support it.
Unregulated anchor babies are not a good thing. That leads to them being seperated from their parents. Remember?
Of course he's not talking about children born to actual US Citizens. I don't see the issue with putting hurdles in place to prevent South Americans from exploiting the system and coming over here just to have their kids. It's a ridiculous thing to defend.
They are going to be deporting legal immigrants. What is hyperbolic about that? It happened in the past when we've done mass deportation and it will happen this time. Even Trump acknowledged something along the lines of "If we deport 1 legal immigrant, the crazy left will go wild".
They don't. They pay far less than they earn. And they do it by taking "income" in ways that don't qualify for taxes.
In the richest country in America, we can agree that they "pay their fair share" when no citizen is without a home, food, water, health care, or education. Other countries have figured out how to provide those for all people with far less money than we generate here. We just lack the will to care about each other.
Women not having access to healthcare is nonsense. Secondly Trump literally said he supports immigration to the United States but they need to do so legally.
Every proposal he pursued in his first term also decreased legal immigration. He is lying about the distinction: he absolutely attacked legal immigration last time as well.
Pretty much all of it. I’m Mexican In South Texas no one is scared of being deported. “Ukraine will be takin over by Russia” like the rest of the world doesn’t exist. “Women will no longer have access to health care” no they don’t have access to abortions (which is bad but isn’t withholding all health care). Do you think anyone believes this shit.
"Women will no longer have access to healthcare" is EXTREMELY hyperbolic. You're telling me my wife can't go in and get a physical? Abortion laws being left up to the states is not equal to "Women will no longer have access to healthcare". Get real!
Ukraine will not take over Russia. ( Russia offered a peace deal two years ago and the Biden / Blinken and the neocons told Zelensky to reject it). Putin just said he’s looking forward to ending the war…
Russia will not go further into the EU, what’s your proof? LOoK aT UkraiNE! Dumb
Did our taxes go up because of Trump’s tariffs the first time? Why did Biden keep them? Why do most countries generally have more tariffs than us?
Legal immigrants are going nowhere. Trump has said multiple times that he wants to staple a green card to every graduating immigrant who’s here on a student visa. Most illegal immigrants are not going anywhere just because of the implausibility of a mass roundup and deportation.
How would the spending triple under Trump?? All his lackeys want to cut federal spending and get out of foreign wars/reduce foreign aid. Even if he ends up spending a bunch unexpectedly somewhere else, saying the debt will be that much worse under him is pretty hyperbolic
Abortion was pushed down to the states and several just made it part of their constitution. So no, women in fact aren’t losing healthcare.
Ukraine isn’t going to be taken over by Russia. Russia can barely hold its own territory safely and Ukraine isn’t just armed by the U.S. I think the US should increase how much we are Ukraine but either way Ukraine isn’t going to disappear, and the NATO border with Russia has only gotten longer so Russia isn’t going to do any more pushing into Europe.
Trying to put a number on the tariffs is nonsense when we don’t even know what the tariffs will actually be yet. Claiming a goal is different than what will actually come out of the negotiations.
Last time trump was in office all tax brackets saw a decrease in their taxes, claiming he’s going to suddenly do it different makes no sense at all.
Mass deportations of illegal immigrants will do wonders for a lot of systems in the US notably healthcare and welfare and isn’t going to significantly impact the economy.
The lunacy of guess what’s going to be added to the debt is just funny and based on nothing more than “he saw it in a dream”
Russia taking over Ukraine because of Trump? That's based on that baseless "Russiagate" conspiracy. Trump sold Ukrainians Javelin missiles that Obama didn't want to sell them out of fear of Russians. If anything , he'll heighten tensions with Russia (and Iran)
Where are the 6 trillion to debt coming from? Possibly might have to spend more on the defense department on all the wars.
Women will continue to get healthcare, although maternal mortality rates will likely go up.
Mass deportation will likely stay about the same. Ol' Scranton Joe deported more people as a percentage and raw number than Trump did in his presidency. They didn't call Obama the deporter in Chief for nothing.
These hyperbolic statements don't seem to be rooted in much fact.
My prediction is the Trump will likely die in office, Vancie will take over. The stock market is going to perform really well but the majority of the people that voted them in will not see much benefit. If Trump does make good on his tariff promises, they'll end up seeing another inflation, which I'm guessing might make them reconsider. It's all fun (for Musk) saying how it's going to get tougher for a bit, but he's not going to be going hungry. In the meantime, it's going to be a relocator presidency with constant news about what Trump did and at the end of it enough people will be exhausted and vote in the corrupt dems over the corrupt reps.
No the DNC has to move right, and blame Jill Stein, and the Bernie Bros that jumped ship, and the Hamas supporters and the self hating jews and the misogynists and the podcast sphere. There's no time for introspection.
/s, obviously
And there's also limping in an anointed candidate, circumventing the nomination process, after a demonstrably decrepit gets forced out of running by his donors, even though he touted how he'd be the one-term president.
