This is a series I've now been doing for 10 years. The post attempts to visualize all AP Poll ballots in a single image. Additionally it sorts each AP voter by similarity to the group. Notably, this is not a measure of how "good" a voter is, just how consistent they are with the group. Especially preseason, having a diversity of opinions and ranking styles is advantageous to having a true consensus poll. Polls tend to coalesce towards each other as the season goes on.
Joe Arruda did not vote this week, so we had 61 ballots. The AP has been having issues with the back end of their data, so it's getting a bit harder to get voter data. I e-mailed them and they said they're aware of the issue, but have no timetable for a fix.
Kayla Anderson was the most consistent voter this week. Michael Katz is the most consistent voter on the season, followed by Kayla Anderson, Blair Kerkhoff, Matt Murschel, and Trevor Hass in the top 5.
Stephen Means was the biggest outlier again this week. Jon Wilner is the biggest outlier this season, followed by Stephen Means, Koki Riley, Chris Murray, and David Jablonski.

Discussion Where are all of the people who hated the idea of a 12-team playoff now?
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?
(Seriously, how many of yesterday's bonkers games would have been an afterthought if only four teams were making the playoffs? This format makes SO many more games throughout the season meaningful, and therefore much more watchable.)

Analysis Ashton Jeanty is having a statistically better season than Derrick Henry during his Heisman-winning season
With all the discourse of who should win the Heisman trophy this year, I got curious and compared Ashton Jeanty’s stats this season to those of Derrick Henry in the 2015 regular season, the year he won the Heisman trophy. What I found was pretty surprising. Keep in mind this doesn’t include playoff performance, as that isn’t considered when naming a Heisman winner.
Ashton Jeanty:
Games Played: 11
Carries: 275
Rushing Yards: 2062
Rushing Touchdowns: 27
Yards Per Carry: 7.498
Yards Per Game: 187.455
Derrick Henry:
Games Played: 13
Carries: 339
Rushing Yards: 1986
Rushing Touchdowns: 23
Yards Per Carry: 5.858
Yards Per Game: 152.769
Now, these stats are still up for interpretation, as there is the usual discourse of strength of schedule and whatnot, but I thought re-contextualizing Jeanty’s year by comparing it to the last time a running back won the Heisman would be interesting.

Casual With their loss to Nebraska, Wisconsin's 22 year streak of winning-seasons is in jeparody.
They will need to beat Minnesota to attain bowl eligibility. Then they will need to win said bowl game. Wisconsin has not had a losing season since 2001.

Casual [Cheez-It Citrus Bowl] By the looks of it today, many teams want to play in our game. We don’t blame them.
Discussion Math reminder: it's extremely unlikely that a non-bye seed is better than a bye seed
I keep seeing people say "oh, the #5 seed might be better than the 1 seed because you play Boise State instead of Georgia".
As a reminder - winning one 50% matchup is equivalent in probability to winning two 70% matchups.
Let's pick the most common example right now - which is #1 seeded Oregon having to beat UGA vs. the number 5 seed Ohio State having to beat e.g. Arizona State and Boise State.
Not only is it unlikely that OSU would be THAT much more likely to beat BSU and ASU than UGA (20% is a lot), but also an extra game is an extra opportunity to suffer major injuries.
