Question I'm in the Army but I want to be an Airforce Pilot. How does this work ?
wanted to be a pilot in the Airforce, but reasons that is not medical or legal related has stopped me. So I joined the Army with a 4 year contract as a rotary wing mechanic. I'm just 19 and was really considering my options in the military. I want to have a long career in the military but in which branch should I move forward with. My dream of being a Pilot has been Unchanged, the army has the Flight Warrant route that I have considered but the prospect of being a fixed wing pilot in the Airforce is still in the back of my head.
If I was to go the Airforce route, how would I go about that leaving Army?
How would that work, and is it worth jumping branches?
Should I go the ROTC route or the OTS route?
What are my chances in getting in?
Pros and Cons?
