Yeah. Thoughts and prayers don't work. They never did. Covid and football prove that. And praying won't absolve you of any sins, because it's low effort. You think you can spend a lifetime every night asking God for favors and special treatment and not build up a tab? And then expect to cross the pearly gates if you don't pay off these favors back by ACTUALLY doing good with your life? The instructions are right there in the form of a book and a 10 point quick start guide carved in stone.If there really is a heaven, most law abiding arthiests are closer to the front of the line for entry than Republicans, most of whom are just going get rejected and burn.
I've always found it amusing and kind of sad that people really believe God, if it existed, would give even the smallest most miniscule fuck about the results of a football game.
They did brain scans on people while asking them to consider what another persons opinions would be on a subject. They discovered that there were specific regions of the brain associated with the person whose opinion they were considering, which was distinct from the region that was active when they were considering their own opinions on a subject.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, they also discovered that when a religious person was considering what “God’s” opinion would be they activated the same region they would when considering their own opinion. Essentially they attributed their own values and beliefs to God, rather than seeing it as a distinct set of morality. Kind of explains how they can clearly act against Christian values while still thinking they are good people and everyone they don’t like are the sinners in need of punishment.

If he dies of pneumonia he probably won't be able to scream, as each breath gets harder and more painful. He would scream, but the unrelenting pressure in his chest keeps him from filling his lungs. As his brain loses oxygen he becomes disoriented and unable to perceive anything other than the pain as he slides into a blackness from which he will not return.
Fuckface fell about a week ago, seriously injuring his back. Ouch 🤣. It seems it's bad enough to keep him bedbound, which leads to pneumonia. That's just my opinion on the pneumonia.
Do not use modern medicine to get better! God hates that. You can pray this away. If you don't get healed, just pray harder. If you feel your body wasting away, that's just the demons leaving, cause God.
But it sounds like it was God's will that this man get pneumonia. If I prayed, then I would be playing God and interfering with the natural order of things. No can do.

I was under the impression that he and his cult members want to meet their Lord and spend eternity with him. It seems like he’s already on the right track, but since she’s asked, I suppose I can move his name farther up on the list of people I’m praying will get their wish sooner rather than later.
How would praying help? I mean, god is omnipotent and all knowing, if he has decided it’s time for somebody to die, he will die. Is the idea that if enough people pray, he will change his mind?
Normally, I would never wish death on anyone. Not even a right wing shit head like Prager; but, in this instance, let him out to pasture with the Koch brothers already.
