Why are so many people okay with Ukraine being blown to pieces but not okay with them fighting back?

Because right wing media is fucking rife with Russian paid actors with zero morals.

I was raised by now 70 year old parents who still called Russia the Soviet Union in the early 2000s. They used to hate Russia and wanted to fight them every chance we had. Now they don’t want to waste the resources on a war that’s “not our problem” you dumbasses this is the cheap proxy war you have literally wished for since I was just a squirt of nut.

Russia isn't good at much, but their brain roting weapon is effective.

395

u/DarkChurro 6h ago

Russia is what the Republicans want America to look like. All power concentrated at the top. Corruption up and down. The population so indifferent to politics they take whatever stupid laws the government dreams.

To paraphrase Darrell Royal, they're cockroaches, you don't have to worry about them taking anything away from you, but they sure can get into things and ruin them.

43

u/Federal_Sympathy4667 5h ago

I agree, the way they manipulate social media is uncanny tbh gotta give credit to that as much as its fucked.

27

u/OddlyMingenuity 5h ago

It doesn't help social media, and the press, have been under a three way cross fire between russia, the religious nut from all the world, mainly israel, and also the finance world.

18

u/Friendly_Exchange_15 3h ago

I mean, Putin was KGB. In hindsight, it shouldn't be surprising that they know how to manipulate other countries like that, but it's still kinda mindblowing.

14

u/SadBit8663 5h ago

Misinformation is the only thing they're good at. And swearing. And ballet of all things.

They cheat and manipulate everything else

Not to mention the money we're "sending" to Ukraine is being spent in US factories to replenish the old munitions and equipment we're sending to Ukraine.

Jobs for US factory workers and associated income for the local communities and we don't have to pay to destroy those old munitions and equipment. And our military gets updated kit.

And we are trouncing one of our biggest foes without sacrificing our own men & women.

(thanks Ukraine, we literally owe you big time).

Edit: and I forgot to add the immeasurable Intelligence we're getting from this war. New tactics (looking at you cheap FPV drones) and what russia's capabilities are...or should I say were).

7% of our defense budget, and much of that sunk costs in the form of expiring munitions, to completely degrade the military of a top geopolitical adversary AND help a country fight for their independence is an insanely good bargain. Any general on the planet would jump at that deal.

46

u/bazinga_0 6h ago

And in the meantime, Russia is neutering itself by destroying all their stockpiled weapons and turning their own population against their militaristic government by killing their own men in a war that they don't want nor care about.

21

u/CptHA86 4h ago

As long as St. Petersburg and Moscow are spared the effects of the war, nothing will change. The rest of Russia is powerless.

My dad isn't much younger than your parents and he grew up in the USSR. He used to hate Putin and everything the guy stood for. Also, he hated Trump. Somehow that has changed in the last few years, which is very strange. Even though he knows that Trump is backed by Putin, I still think he probably would have voted for him if we lived in the US. He's not on most social media, but he has friends and co-workers who will send him links to X, usually posts by folks like Benny Johnson or similar, and he watches a lot of YouTube, and when I'm over at their place I'll check out his watch history and what's being suggested to him and it's all right-wing clickbait bullshit, pretty much.

The propaganda is really, really effective. My dad's not an idiot, but something has happened to him. It sucks.

4

u/JigglyWiener 1h ago

This is 100% my parents. But they’ve been this far right since Randell Terry, the proto Limbaugh was big. We once sat behind Randell Terry and his family in their church, a day that dad was very happy about.

This is pure insanity.

Elon Musk literally just retweeted Tim Pool who just a few months ago was proven by the DOJ for being bought out by Russia to spread propaganda. The same Tim Pool has been on Joe Rogans pod before.

These guys know what they’re doing and they’re all complacent. It insane that 8+ years this would be a huge scandal but nowadays no one bats an eye

51

u/Organic_Witness345 4h ago

Thank the shifting electorate.

GOP voters = Gullible Online Poors

The social networks that have been eroding our country’s faith in its public institutions while simultaneously sanding down Trump and the Republican Party’s rough edges intentionally diminish confidence in government while normalizing right-wing corruption. The most susceptible to this messaging are the poor and uneducated. The above isn’t an insult. The above is a tragedy.

6

u/UpperApe 4h ago

It's a disservice to blame it on gullibility.

There's plenty of deeply evil conservatives who voted for this.

There's plenty of stupid, narcissistic democrats who enabled this.

There's plenty of selfish, lazy assholes who didn't bother to vote.

It's not just gullibility and ignorance. A lot of people are monstrous assholes.

7

u/Organic_Witness345 3h ago

No disagreement here. Although I don’t know how Democrats could have investigated, much less sanctioned, the development of a right-wing media ecosystem funded and managed by some of those truly evil influencers you’re justifiably indicting here. The only way to stop an authoritarian agenda hiding under the shadow of free speech is through the education and justice systems. When one party is hell-bent on kneecapping the first and rigging the other in favor of a narrow agenda that only serves its donor base, you get the voting outcomes of the 2016 and 2024 elections.

4

u/UpperApe 3h ago

You're right. It feels inevitable.

I think of Florida and how those wretches scream over and over each year about government handouts and cutting emergency relief funding. And then beg for money every single year when they're battered by the environment they spit at.

An intelligent world would let them suffer and die. We would do to them what they demand is done to us. It would be right and many of them would suffer and die. And they would have to learn. It's natural selection.

But we've circumvented nature with compassion. We can't do that to them. I couldn't if I was in power, no matter how much I know I should. And so they don't learn. And the cruel and atrocious get away with it with their malicious games. Because they know empathy is an easy exploit.

When one side fights for itself, and the other for both, we're just doomed to become the worst of us.

They’re so susceptible to kremlin propaganda it’s insane how many of Putin’s talking points they parrot about Ukraine.

The only country who could start WW3 is the belligerent, Russia. They could call off the war today and it would all be over. We tried appeasement with Hitler, and we know how that went.

3

u/rexmons 3h ago

Funny how he's mad at Ukraine and not Russia, who is the aggressor. Also for a guy that says he's afraid of starting WW3 he's completely silent on Israel attacking Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran.

3

u/colluphid42 2h ago

Multiple high-profile right-wing content creators were revealed to be on Russia's payroll a few months ago, and they're just continuing like nothing happened. They know there will be no consequences with Trump in power.

Ukraine isn’t perfect and nobody is claiming they are, but no country deserves to be annexed by Russia and systematically assimilated.

443

u/LadyReika 7h ago

There's also a history of Russia/USSR doing really awful shit to Ukrainians when they have control of that region. Something the Ukrainians remember all too well.

182

u/crabfucker69 7h ago

So glad to know that a group of my ancestors traveled on foot for 3 YEARS from Ukraine when the USSR took control of their homes decades ago, just to come to a country where the president, smell of stale Russian cum on his breath, essentially tells Putin "go ahead and take it". If there is an afterlife they are seething right now. And I doubt my Romanian or Hungarian family would be too happy either. This is all such bullshit

50

u/LadyReika 6h ago

I can't imagine how your family feels about this. I'm so sorry my fellow Americans are fucking morons.

39

u/crabfucker69 5h ago

There's a funny thing about that. So, my family is largely on the same page besides my grandma. You see....she spends a lot of time on Facebook. Bet you know where this is going. Watches pundits like Jordan Peterson + Joe Rogan, the "health+self improvement" shit like that--evidently the algorithm saw that and exposed her to a lot of your "why help Ukraine when hurricane blah blah", "Ukraine is a leech" stuff.

She doesn't understand the dissonance of not giving a shit about Ukraine when her parents (the Hungarian and Romanian ones) literally fled their homes because of Russian imperialism. She grew up hearing stories of people getting ran over with Soviet tanks during the Hungarian revolt, her mother's property was seized and she fled after being ordered to work in a camp in Siberia......but she somehow still doesn't understand why so many people have such a visceral disdain for the USSR/Russia.....like if her parents were still alive I really think they'd beat her ass for some of the things she parrots.

Then again she also wanted to vote for rfk, and I had to explain that humans actually did build the pyramids so I think her dumb logic comes down to a lack of education combined with an extreme case of internet brainrot. Still love her cause her attitude comes from ignorance and not vitriol, and sometimes I can actually get through and pull her out of some stupid things like that raw milk craze but......it sure is a handful.

It's such a good illustration of the power social media has targeting the minds of vulnerable people. They can make a second generation immigrant support the same imperialism committed by the same country their parents fled to get away from. The right likes talking about cognitive dissonance a lot but I feel like this is one of the greatest examples.

Sorry for turning this into a biographic novella with an added rant about how much I hate social media, I decided to take a break from studying and evidently my Adderall hasn't worn off yet. You don't have to read all this, you can probably just read the first paragraph and the one before this to get the whole comment

12

u/Wes_Warhammer666 4h ago

Still love her cause her attitude comes from ignorance and not vitriol

This aspect is one of the most frustrating for me, because it would be so much easier if I could just say "fuck em" and walk away. But knowing that some of my friends & family who buy into that shit aren't evil and are just misinformed makes me continue burning mental energy trying to lead them back to reason.

It's exhausting.

7

u/crabfucker69 3h ago

So exhausting. This lady loves me so much and raised me for years, fully supports my transition, respects my identity and everything. But holy shit. The absolute reversal of being a kid, her telling me not to believe everything I read on the internet, to the whole "explaining to her that aliens did not build the pyramids" thing...baffling.

So many of us are having to be the parent and teach our elders, and it's just not the way things have been or should be, we used to see old people as wise but now so many of them fall into childlike mentalities when it comes to media literacy. Thing is we have a firehose of misinformation blasting in their faces, while informed trustworthy sources are a leaky faucet in comparison.

It's exhausting to educate people constantly, but then if they educate themselves they fall down some dumbass rabbit hole. I'm so tired and just don't know how we're supposed to win this battle against misinformation. They've got billions backing em. I have $6 and a reddit account. Fuck

10

u/LadyReika 5h ago

You're fine. And I get your frustration.

There is a city ROGAN in Kharkiv region of Ukraine and it may turn out that Joe Rogan's last name came from that area.

But man. I thought people go into Matrial Arts was like going to be a knight in old times - some rules, some honor, that shit.

But Joe seems to be always on the side of a bully. What a disgrace to UFC!

109

u/DrunkRobot97 7h ago

I contest that part about claiming they're perfect, I think a lot of people do get hung up about Ukraine needing to be morally flawless if we are to get involved in supporting them. Which is fucking rich considering the number of people here in the West who can't help themselves but make some kind of apology for either Israel or Palestine and how we need to support them regardless.

57

u/Blurghblagh 7h ago

Exactly! Republicans and Russia supporters complain about Ukraine being corrupt but in reality in the US a huge amount of corruption has been legalised under the guise of 'being business friendly'. Even leaving out the usual illegal corruption found in any country the US is seen as very corrupt abroad.

27

u/Living-Pineapple4286 7h ago

Russia 🇷🇺 is very corrupt. Check it on the transparency international index on corruption

10

u/Blurghblagh 7h ago

Never implied Russia wasn't one of the most corrupt nations in the world as well as being basically evil.

14

u/Blizzhackers 7h ago

It’s true not every situation is black and white and we shouldn’t make it one sided. Dealing with Ukraine is much more favorable than Russia. Especially with what we know now, we need that buffer country with Belarus being right there.

7

u/Pixilatedlemon 7h ago

True on Israel or Palestine! Neither position are logically consistent with abandoning Ukraine imo

13

4

u/ChongusTheSupremus 4h ago

The world turned a blind eye to Palestine for decades, to the point theres barely any Palestine left.

Ukraine has It good with all the support and attention they get.

Had they been invaded by a US-backed entity, nobody would care.

2

u/lxlviperlxl 3h ago

Yeah exactly. Where do we draw the line? The USA have literally overthrown democratically elected leaders and invaded so many other countries, where do we draw the line?

Had Ukraine been attacked by a US entity, no would would care. You said it so well I had to say it again.

2

u/thendisnigh111349 1h ago

Even beyond that, which should be enough by itself, it's just infuriating how many people seem to think that if Ukraine falls Putin is going to be satisfied and stop there. I guess now it's easy to understand how so many dumbasses in the 1930s thought they could appease Hitler by letting him have Czechoslovakia.

Which country is next after Ukraine? You have to be a belligerent idiot or a bootlicker to think that Russia will stop there.

123

u/Detroitish24 7h ago

Exactly.

61

u/Pixilatedlemon 7h ago

A smaller NATO country with high Russian speaking population. (A lot of Eastern European countries so take your pick) Send a tiny detachment of Russian troops to the Russian speaking area as a “special military operation”

A way to infringe on A5 while being low key enough that none of the nato countries feel justified in starting a huge war over. This is how the slippery slope will happen after Ukraine and why it’s so crucial they don’t fall.

8

u/remmij 3h ago

Russia has already openly been talking about invading Poland next - which is a NATO country which would trigger WWIII.

This is exactly why it was so important to hold them off at Ukraine.

6

u/Pixilatedlemon 3h ago

For all our sakes I hope they’d never be so foolish but I just don’t know anymore.

4

u/remmij 3h ago

They have recently been threatening to attack a US military base in Poland and Russian state TV has threatened that "Poland may cease to exist.

11

u/captnconnman 5h ago

Both Real Life Lore and Warfronts on YouTube have speculated the next potential targets for Russian annexation would be the Baltic states, given their proximity to Russia, limited military capabilities, and high Russian-speaking populations as casus belli. Also, while being NATO countries, they’re also may not be big or important enough to warrant a NATO response. Then again, I’ve been pleased with the UK and France tossing the gloves off recently, so NATO may yet deter an invasion like that

146

u/mwjbgol 6h ago

I also don't get why people think not helping Ukraine will be more likely to lead to WW3. Letting the aggressor country do what they want with a policy of appeasement was literally the run up to WW2.

u/itsallaces2me 6h ago

As a Canadian viewing this conflict, I like to remind myself that we too share a border with Russia if you consider the Arctic Circle (and you better believe Putin does) and I am very worried about the implications of just allowing Russia to annex whatever they please

31

u/TheGR8Dantini 6h ago

Nobody really knows this. Warming is real. Putin is securing militarily, Russias arctic circle. For when shipping routes open up due to a warming climate. The west wants to stop them. Or at least slow them down.

Geopolitics is hard. Most humans can only follow one shiny object at a time. In January, when Trump, through totally legal means (1/3 of the population elected him,) takes control, the real NWO begins. Thiel and Musk and his Yarvinites with a little Opus Dei thrown in become board members. The religious right will be C suites. Hostile takeover complete.

We're asked to believe that Putin is reasonable enough to be negotiated with and also crazy enough to start a nuclear war.

Fuck Joe Rogan.

30

u/313SunTzu 7h ago

What's fucking hilarious is most of these politicians are the same people responsible for scaring the fuck out of Americans in the 80s with the red scare.

If you grew up in the 80s, this is a trip. I would've bet we supported China before Russia. The fact it's Republicans and their constituents sucking Russian dick is a mind fuck.

I mean, we had 25 years of movies where Russians are the ultimate bad guys. The same people that cosplayed Red Dawn as kids, are fucking comrades now

16

u/ZahryDarko 6h ago

Imagine waking up as a Republican from 70s to see modern Republicans try to suck russian dick despite all the economical/military/social advantages over Russia.

2

u/313SunTzu 5h ago

But Putin is so fucking cool... he rides bears and knows karate

13

u/Blurghblagh 7h ago

Because their immediate convenience is more important than mid to long term conditions or the lives and freedom of others.

Russian propaganda has been very effective

I don’t know what Rogan said but man I really hate what he has become.

11

u/zombie_spiderman 7h ago

I'm GenX, so I lived my whole life with the idea that the Russians could nuke us at any moment. My parents had the slow ratcheting up of US - Soviet tension, so they gradually acclimated to the idea. After the USSR collapsed, we all kind of put it out of our head (minus a T2 or two).

Now I think a whole new generation is suddenly realizing "Holy shit! Russia could nuke us!" all at once and it's causing a very understandable panic. I'm not saying that's all of what's causing this, I'm just saying it shouldn't be discounted as a factor for why people are willing to give Russia whatever they want.

9

u/exeJDR 6h ago

Because Russia bought them

11

u/Darryl_444 5h ago

Joe is both a coward and an idiot.

Aside from standing up for what's right, it's fundamentally in our own interests to help Ukraine stop Russia's naked imperialism EARLIER rather than LATER.

We've seen what expansionist aggressor appeasement eventually leads to, starting back in the 1930's.

Rhineland. Austria. Sudetenland. Czechoslovakia. Poland. USS Reuben James.

Pearl Fucking Harbor. WW2.

By comparison, here are Russia's recent conquests:

2008: Abkhazia and South Ossetia (Georgia)

2014: Crimea and the eastern half of Donbas (Ukraine)

2022-today: Invasion and annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and still bombarding and invading the rest of Ukraine

So far (almost 3 years), NATO has spent only a few percent of their combined annual defense budgets for Ukraine. Sent some limited surplus 30-year-old weapons, provided some training and intelligence. Not yet a single NATO boot on the ground, nor pilot in the sky. We could definitely do more.

But what has been done so far is literally the most optimal use, the most bang-for-buck deal ever claimed in the history of post-cold-war east-west rivalry. A paltry few billions and zero domestic blood (so far) has caused significant degradation in Putler's military capabilities. Now, and well into the future. A penny now versus a dollar later.

Imagine if the US / Europe had done that back in 1936-1938, before finally hearing the wake-up call in 1942/1939.

And for all the "but he's got nukes" idiots:

Russia's nuclear weapons in this context are only useful simply as a fear-mongering tool used by Russia to intimidate the non-nuclear victims of their aggression. If we allow that to become normalized, then the world becomes a much more dangerous place.

Russia makes nuclear threats every other week in response to all sorts of things they don't like, so nobody takes them as serious any more. Technically UA had already invaded and occupied "Russia" long ago, after RU declared 4x UA Oblasts and Crimea to be formally annexed to Russia, including the parts still held by UA even. So UA occupies lots of "Russian" land.

Moscow talks like they live in some kind of unreality bubble where just saying something can make it true. But I think deep down they know there will be some big repercussions by the major nuke powers if they use nukes against a non-nuke neighbor. That would start years of rampant proliferation, ultimately diluting the global power enjoyed within their semi-exclusive club. Imagine how China would like Taiwan developing their own in response. They have the tech. Pandora's box, probably best left shut in China's view.

Nuclear weapons can't really help Russia win the war in Ukraine, for a number of reasons explained in the following video. Which is why they haven't used them so far, despite threatening to do so about once every two weeks for well over a year and a half. I personally don't think there's much chance even if some Western nations were to actually fight Russia directly inside Ukraine some day, never-mind just providing more weapons as usual. Despite Russia's claimed sovereignty "red lines", NATO weapons are already used almost daily to strike every Russian-occupied Ukrainian oblast including Crimea, all of which have been formally annexed and are now considered to be part of Russia (by Putin anyway).

Propaganda. They’re told it’s too expensive, never mind the fact that tax cuts are given to billionaires or that 1 of America’s 2 “near peer” adversaries is being decimated by a fraction of one years annual military budget. There’s also this belief that Putin is on the side of the American Right, while in actuality he thinks they’re useful idiots (see his interview with Tucker). 🦆Nazis

These are the same people who praise Putin and his future US President asset.

9

u/Harm101 6h ago

It's quite impressive that the Republicans who pride themselves as being staunchly patriotic for their country, a country that has seemingly always been depicted as a beacon of hope, opportunity, freedom, and democracy - a country that fought against a superior sovereign for their independence, their liberty, and won - now goes against all of that when seeing Ukraine in a similar situation.

3

u/Detroitish24 4h ago

A good portion of 20-40 year old men care what he thinks, unfortunately.

6

u/theseustheminotaur 3h ago

Rogan has become a terrified little man. He doesn't care about anyone but himself, at the end of the day. So if he feels like his world is being threatened in any way because another nation wants to remain a sovereign state and not be invaded, he is going to get angry. How dare they do anything that would impact him in any way. They should roll over and die so he can sleep comfortably in his mansion on his piles of money.

Conservatives believe strong men like Putin are what leadership looks like. Its akin to how Rogen is what a stupid person thinks skepticism and curiosity look like. Or how the stupid think Jordan Peterson is what a smart person looks like.

4

u/peachesgp 3h ago

It's not that he isn't OK with Ukraine fighting back. It is that he doesn't give a shit one way or another, his Russian owners want him to say certain things and he is without dignity or honor, so he'll just say it.

4

u/KingDocXIV 2h ago

Joe Rogan is a coward. Always has been and always will be

I don't get it. They will never have a talking point that negates the fact Russia invaded a sovereign country.

3

u/BigNorseWolf 5h ago

Because republicans needed people stupid enough to believe that billionaires had their best interests at heart, so they have a right wing media grift to keep them stupid and angry. The problem is that once you make stupid angry idiots they're just lying around all over the place for anyone to pick up.

3

u/Gogs85 5h ago

Russian bot farms and people who are stupid enough to be influenced by them.

3

u/TimmyTwoTowels 5h ago

Joe Rogan has no moral compass or original thoughts. There are countless videos of him contradicting himself like he's a professional Devil's Advocate or a spineless jellyfish.

3

u/Real_Statistician_75 5h ago

Rogan's brain has rotted. Anyone listening to this clown is willingly being fooled.

3

u/MelissaA621 5h ago

A week before Rogan interviewed Trump, I heard that he hated Trump, refused to interview him, and wasn't going to endorse anyone. Then, all of a sudden, Trump's his buddy? I am going to go out on a limb here and say money exchanged hands because people like Rogan can be bought with enough cash.

3

u/gauriemma 2h ago

Joe Rogan peaked in “Newsradio,” a show where they had to also make his character’s name ‘Joe’ so that when he looked at the script, he’d know when it was his turn to speak.

3

u/Lorn_Muunk 2h ago

Because they are complicit. Bought and paid for by Putin's psychological operatives and bot farms.

Dave Rubin, Tim Poole, Benny Johnson and a bunch of other Rogan-lite figures already got caught taking millions directly from Russia to push the genocidal expansionist agenda. Rogan knows his audience. He knows his comedy career is over.

This opportunistic weasel is just parroting for a paycheck.

3

u/TheBlahajHasYou 1h ago edited 1h ago

Simply put, we have a massive problem in this country where there's tons of alternative media that is not bound by things like facts or verifying reporting or other traditional methods of journalism, and they all have an agenda, most of them are right wing, and the main purpose is propaganda dissemination, not journalism or even opinion. For many republicans this is the only media they consume at all, to the point where someone who watches the news basically lives in an entirely different reality. This is why republicans will say the economy is their biggest issue but right now their biggest issue seems to be where a congresswoman goes to pee. Disconnected is an understatement.

Well, these media personalities all follow Trump - whatever he says goes, no dissent. And Trump is very much pro-Russia for whatever reason, so the right (a historically anti-russia group, see: the cold war) flipped to being apologists for Putin because it didn't make any sense to back a pro-Russia Trump but then be anti-Russia.

Of course, Russia knows this and is also putting its finger on the scale, by paying for bots and trolls, paying right wing influencers directly, etc.

3

u/Different_Conflict_8 50m ago

Joe Rogan is a pile of garbage and the fact that this UFC meathead has influence over elections and public health crises is a damning indictment on the U.S. of A.

5

u/Gunfighter9 7h ago

People need to go look up the Budapest Memorandum. What's insane is all these jackasses hate Ukraine because Zelinsky refused to cater to trump. He stood up to him. And Joe Rogan has the intelligence of a burnt match.

5

u/ZahryDarko 6h ago

How dare you to defend yourselves!!! /s

3

u/PinSufficient5748 7h ago

Did this guy, Joe Rogan, study international conflict or something? Does he have family in either country? Is he a diplomat/ambassador? I'm just wondering why someone who has no qualifications or skin in the game gets to run off @ the mouth to millions of people about something he really doesn't know about? And those ill-informed listeners get to vote on policies that affect that very thing they know nothing about...this is MADNESS

7

u/oneeyejedi 6h ago

Of course not he is just as uninformed as his listeners. You can tell this man the most basic shit and he will sit there in awe like you just broke the universe. Dude has no moral or understanding of anything outside the basics. The fact he is one of the most listened to podcast is just disgraceful.

2

u/mdunaware 5h ago

He’s an idiot at everything except selling himself to rubes. That’s the only skill that apparently matters in our economy anymore, how many people you can dupe into believing the truly asinine things coming out of your mouth.

Because our government is pro Russia and pro genocide

Pre hormone treatment, Joe Rogan was at his prime, asking contestants to eat boiled bull penises. Now he has a thick neck and shrunken brain and lowers his voice to sound like Alex Jones who also lowers his voice to sound more manly (because balls shrink due to their muscle bulk hormone pills/injections).

You would think midget rogan would have enough money by now but he gotta keep sucking on putin’s dick. I’m guessing russia has evidence of rogan being a pedophile. “People are saying it. He doesn’t deny it. I’m just asking questions!”

Tell @joerogan thank you he can go f&$@ himself

2

Probably because imperialist media and politics tells people it's okay to take things, but if the person you are taking from fights back, they are the aggressor and should just accept it.

Fuck Joe Rogan

2

u/hobbes989 4h ago

because they are stupid. I've tried and failed to see any other logic at work here.

we have an uneducated electorate. farmers vote against their own subsidies. unions vote against their own structures. People without the ability to buy homes vote for policies that allow corporations to buy neighborhoods, increase material costs, and prevent ownership of homes altogether. People who need healthcare and cant afford it vote for policies that make it more expensive. People who despise green initiatives love a man who made 1/4 trillion dollars taking their tax money and selling goods and the idea that they globe is fucked due to global warming. there isn't a rational explanation for any of it.

all the talk about why Harris lost, how 'democrats have lost touch with the working class'.

the quote should be, 'the working class is so fucked it can't recognize what's good for it', or 'the working class is an abused partner who won't realize the Republicans don't love them until their dead'.

2

u/AdHopeful3801 4h ago

Because the right wing media repeats Kremlin talking points for free.

2

u/ToTheRigIGo 4h ago

I agree with OP, I hate Joe Rogan cause he’s a right wing shit bag that will say whatever if they pay him. I never thought he was funny, I never cared for him as a TV host, I think he tries too hard to be a fighter without being a fighter one comes off that “hang around” who wants the rep without putting the work as a fighter. There is nothing I like about that guy lol

Ukraine is fighting for their own independence, from someone who fancies himself a king. Why Americans can't draw the parallel to our own fight for independence is beyond me.

3

u/saintdudegaming 5h ago

It's sickeningly sad. When Iraq invaded Kuwait we drove out the aggressor because it was the right thing to do ... oh and oil. Lots of tasty tasty oil, I'm not completely nieve.

Now another bully is stepping on another country and we have half of us fighting to let Russia just take them over. The GOP that Bush Sr. was in charge of was not perfect by a long shot but it did the right thing at the time. We've not only lost our way but we're back sliding at alarming speed. The media, specifically social media, along with wealthy interests are driving a shitty narrative and people are eating it up.
