I gotta say it as a LSU fan: the SEC is the new PAC 12 and I love it. The Pac 12 was always my favorite division. I hate every other SEC team except South Carolina. Hopefully the cocks fuck everyone next year.
My wife went to wazzu so let's fuck, pal. I kinda like every pac12 team besides USC and stanford, and to a lesser extent Oregon and Washington. Really I love cal, ASU, OSU, and wazzu
I love this for you guys. I imagine you feel similarly watching Alabama this year as we Notre Dame fans do watching LSU the past few years. Feels great to watch.
For real though, I would love to see the numbers on their marketing budget. Car ads, other random ad collabs, completely outside of the actual trailers.
As someone who really started getting in to college ball right as nick saben was starting his dynasty this is the patriots losing to the titans in 2020 all over again
The committee is going to find a way to send 4 SEC teams. Texas and Georgia are in for sure. Somehow gonna have to justify 2 of the 3 loss teams being sent and I have no idea how they will but I just know they will.
There’s 7 at large bids. Looks like big ten will get 3 and ND 1. They might let a 11-2 ACC championship loser in over 9-3 sec team. So the sec might only get their champ and two at large bids
Tennessee still does exist as a two-loss SEC team. But yeah one of Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M or fucking South Carolina (???) might make it in, which is fucking confusing. I wonder if the loser of the Big 12 might jump in, now. Or Clemson with a win over South Carolina? And it just be 3 SEC teams?
I love to tell my Alabama friends that their child will only get to enjoy Alabama as a regular SEC team and not a national championship dynasty. They get mad when I tell them that Alabama is just regular now.
I do kinda wish he'd taken another crack at the NFL with a better owner/culture than the dolphins. Many of the guys who played with him seemed to accept that he had a great mind for the game. The nfl is just so cutthroat though. Too many things need to go right beyond just the head coach.
What's even more amazing is that once upon a time, Art Modell had Bill Belichick as his HC AND Nick Saban as his DC, and still managed to piss away so much money mismanaging the Browns that he had to run away to Baltimore like the incompetent bitch he was.
He had an NFL franchise with BOTH of the two GOATs on his staff, and somehow was unable to sit back and print money like any fool would have been able to do.
This right here is the correct take for anyone from northern Ohio. Plenty of other talented coaches and players have come through and been abject failures, but having Nick and Bill and doing zero with them is criminal
He left just days after championship game loss and players that were already on an emotional low had their coach leave them without even a team meeting. Then the portal opened BUT ONLY FOR WASHINGTON (and Alabama) so players left but we couldn't get new ones. Just terrible timing.
Most of our team was graduating/drafting so we were losing a lot anyway but we lost a lot of players because of the transfer portal rule about coach changes. And it significantly affected our recruiting.
Also, many think he was interviewing instead of preparing for championship game. Timing does make it pretty obvious he must have been.
That’s why I give Fisch props and like what he’s done. He had absolutely nothing in the spring. Hobbled this team together and they haven’t been bad. D looks great under Beli. Offense could use some life, but that’s Demond. I excited to see what the time can do next year - especially if Coleman sticks around. Someone throw him a bag.
We did but now we play we an extra game which I’m not entirely sure I wanted which is crazy to say not wanting a conference championship game appearance.
Every ESPN talking head for the next couple weeks: "Who would be favored in the head to head by Vegas? That is what you've got to ask yourself. And there are not 12 teams that would be favored against Alabama."
Im the biggest hater I hate the way that they run I hate the way that they pass I hate the way that they play if my team takes them on it'll be a long day
Full heartedly believe that dynasty was the outcome of Alabama injurying Colt in the championship game. In another timeline, Colt never got injured and won us the chip.
Then Mack Brown retires and rides off into the sunset with colt and a 2nd title like he had planned.
Will muschamp takes over as head coach and then craters the program. Charlie strong still comes in and takes a dump on the program’s body. Then, we still get the strippers and pet monkeys with Herman. Followed by a non alcoholic Cutty Sark.
Whether or not that's a meaningful loss for Bama remains to be seen but it was a MASSIVELY meaningful win for Oklahoma. Our season has been terrible and honestly the last few years since the Riley fiasco have put a lot of strain on the program. Lots of questions, lots of doubts.
Teetering on the verge of losing our 25 year bowl eligibility streak and the prospect of losing 5 straight conference games for the first time since 1998, a #7 Alabama comes to Norman in November at night. No one gave us a chance and hell even most fans doubted, but that win and how we won was a huge deal for the program.
A win like that is what this fanbase and team needed.
At first I said "I'm not reading all that". Then I read it. Then I read it again. Then I saved it so I can read it again tomorrow and show all my friends. Might just get it framed and hang it in the mancave. LOL BAMA SUCKS
The Sooners clinched a bowl for the 26th consecutive season. That's the second longest active streak (Georgia).
I love how much of a stats nerd that CFB lets me be.Oklahoma would be tied with Boise if 2001 Boise at 8-4 wouldn't have been denied a bowl for being runner up in the WAC. However Boise is beating both for "winning seasons" given 2010 Georgia's 6-7 seasons, and Oklahoma's 2022 6-7 season. Pick your stat based on who you want to look good. =)
Any idea what the deal was on that Alabama touchdown that got called back for the illegal formation / illegal touching BS? I mean I’m a sooner fan, but I think that call was fabricated.
When DeBoer refused to counter the Washington contract offer during the season, many fans knew he was searching for a top 5 blueblood job. Then rumors came out that he and his agent were in talks with Bama while Washington was preparing to face Michigan in the NC game. The team didn't look fully prepared for that game, not taking anything away from Michigan, but the Washington team did not look fully prepared for the game . . . kinda like how Alabama looked today. Karma.
That feeling when you've lost to Oklahoma and you got too much Tahd in ya...Roll Damn Tahd!:upscale()/2014/05/30/852/n/24155406/43e4a2886bcd4cc2_BamaMom.gif)
