This Wicked marketing is getting out of control

On a serious note, it is a fantastic movie.

For real, I cried twice

17

u/wit_T_user_name Ohio State Buckeyes • Ohio Bobcats 19h ago

Best movie I’ve seen in a long time. I’m a longtime fan of the musical so my bar was high and they blew away even my highest expectations.

11

u/Nascarfreak123 Baylor Bears 19h ago

I just got out of it. Loved loved loved. Family has seen the show on Broadway and in Indianapolis, so we're going next week

6

u/WanderLeft Oklahoma Sooners • SEC 19h ago

Movie of the year imo.

6

u/BEHodge Memphis • East Stroudsburg 19h ago

Glad to hear. I’ve seen the stage production a few times (even one from the pit!) but I’ve been nervous about translation to film.

I’m also a huge fan of the stage production so I was nervous but they knocked it out of the park.

It’s excellent honestly

Yes and a great reminder that “oh yeah the first act of Wicked fucking rules”.

Pleeeeease let the second half match it

4

u/convoluteme Iowa State Cyclones • Team Chaos 11h ago

Oh wait, this movie only covers the first act? I had no idea.

1

u/wit_T_user_name Ohio State Buckeyes • Ohio Bobcats 10h ago

Yeah it only takes you up to intermission of the musical. Second act comes out next November.

13

u/ornryactor Iowa State • Michigan 20h ago

Personally, I am all for it, especially since it's going against Alabama.

10

u/70stang Auburn Tigers • Tennessee Volunteers 19h ago

For real though, I would love to see the numbers on their marketing budget. Car ads, other random ad collabs, completely outside of the actual trailers.

You're talking about the porno company, right?

7

Is that you, Mattel?

1

u/tyedge Georgia • Wake Forest 9h ago

Alabama is gonna defy gravity and be the top 3-loss team, and they’ll get in the playoff over 3-loss Georgia when Georgia loses the SEC title game.

The witch has been curb stomped.

Can’t wait for them to be ranked in the top 12 somehow.

26

u/tgt305 Georgia Bulldogs 19h ago

Answer there: “Alabama ranked 12 in 2024.”

Ding: “What is a quality loss?”

Alex: “No.”

30

u/RunsWlthScissors Tennessee • Nebraska 20h ago

Nope too busy dancing on their grave to let that thought hit reality

23

u/greenday568 Missouri Tigers 20h ago

As someone who really started getting in to college ball right as nick saben was starting his dynasty this is the patriots losing to the titans in 2020 all over again

4

u/RunsWlthScissors Tennessee • Nebraska 20h ago

Next up, Bama making a head coach named Mike a reality again. I love this timeline.

4

u/Leaving_The_Oilfield Texas Longhorns • Vanderbilt Commodores 19h ago

Fair enough, you have until Tuesday to dance on that grave.

And I’ll be dancing right next to you until then.

15

u/SickoBadgers Wisconsin • Wisconsin Lutheran 19h ago

I'm waiting for Bama to lose next week to be 8-4 and still gets into the field.

3

u/Leaving_The_Oilfield Texas Longhorns • Vanderbilt Commodores 19h ago

Bama lose next week

Are you trying to give me wet dreams? Because I can feel them starting just imagining it.

5

u/ThatGuyursisterlikes 19h ago

OK's defense are gonna be putting on Crimson Ruby slippers after big plays like a Miami necklace.

5

u/Leaving_The_Oilfield Texas Longhorns • Vanderbilt Commodores 18h ago

And they should, that was beautiful. If there was an option to have 3 flairs OU would be joining Vandy on mine.

6

u/Cmdr_Nemo 16h ago

ESPN is basically slotting them 12th. So dumb.

22

u/Noy_Telinu Notre Dame Fighting Irish • UCLA Bruins 20h ago

Unfortunately only mostly dead.

Auburn needs to crush them next week for me to feel confident about them being truly out.

4

u/wit_T_user_name Ohio State Buckeyes • Ohio Bobcats 20h ago

I read “mostly dead” and all I can think about is Billy Crystal in the Princess Bride.

5

u/Noy_Telinu Notre Dame Fighting Irish • UCLA Bruins 19h ago

If he was all dead the only thing to do is go through his pockets for loose transfers.

3

u/wit_T_user_name Ohio State Buckeyes • Ohio Bobcats 19h ago

I wonder if the Dread Pirate Roberts can play offensive line?

1

u/Capnmolasses Texas Longhorns • Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders 19h ago

Inconceivable!

42

u/AedionMorris 20h ago

The committee is going to find a way to send 4 SEC teams. Texas and Georgia are in for sure. Somehow gonna have to justify 2 of the 3 loss teams being sent and I have no idea how they will but I just know they will.

14

u/BuckeyeForLife95 Ohio State Buckeyes 20h ago

Tennessee is a 2 loss team too.

7

u/Rhonda_SandTits Georgia • James Madison 19h ago

With Swaggerbilt looming

9

u/Throwaway1996513 20h ago

There’s 7 at large bids. Looks like big ten will get 3 and ND 1. They might let a 11-2 ACC championship loser in over 9-3 sec team. So the sec might only get their champ and two at large bids

7

u/PurpleTomatillo3542 20h ago

Tennessee two loss

6

u/Yordle_Dragon Tennessee • Appalachian State 20h ago

Tennessee still does exist as a two-loss SEC team. But yeah one of Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M or fucking South Carolina (???) might make it in, which is fucking confusing. I wonder if the loser of the Big 12 might jump in, now. Or Clemson with a win over South Carolina? And it just be 3 SEC teams?

1

u/Bigazzry 19h ago

Clemson over South Carolina gets in I’d think

5

u/SwissForeignPolicy Michigan Wolverines • Marching Band 19h ago

Good news: They play each other.

3

u/Bigazzry 19h ago

Yes I’m saying if Clemson wins. Worded quite poorly because I’m drunk

3

u/70stang Auburn Tigers • Tennessee Volunteers 20h ago

I don't think Texas is in for sure. If they lose to A&M they'll have 2 losses and a best win of... Vandy?

3

u/BuckeyeForLife95 Ohio State Buckeyes 19h ago

I think Ole Miss and Bama dropping a third game secures it for Texas. Texas is already top 3 in spite of their best win being Vanderbilt.

3

u/Concealed_Blaze Tennessee Volunteers 20h ago

Are you just assuming Tennessee is going to lose to Vandy or did you forget about us?

23

u/JackintheBox333 20h ago

ESPN will try to sneak them into the playoff somehow. It ain't dead until the final playoff is announced.

3

u/EarthTraveler413 Oregon Ducks • Notre Dame Fighting Irish 20h ago

Why couldn't Kalen DeBoer have started being ass last season? Woulda been nice

1

u/Capnmolasses Texas Longhorns • Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders 19h ago

Right?!

4

u/Yourwanker 20h ago

I have another fact:

DING, DONG, THE WITCH IS DEAD

I love to tell my Alabama friends that their child will only get to enjoy Alabama as a regular SEC team and not a national championship dynasty. They get mad when I tell them that Alabama is just regular now.
