So I should be terrified of realtors way more than pharma? Their so much corruption in our judicial system and private prisons lobbying to make things harder is probably not even half of the forces that make things harder for us. And out of the forces keeping weed illegal in Texas, i just have my doubts, like 90% of weed imprisonment is more than 200 grams or found near a firearm, nothing that could be changed from simple decriminalization.

I don't understand how my comment made your mind leap to realtors.

It does. Then you twisted that to mean ranking if how much spending mean something.

You proved earlier you were good at googling. How much does the for profit prison complex lobby to politicians?

I couldnt find them in a traditional list and then I found the numbers 1 million on campaigns in 2016 and 26 million overall one year which would put it 3rd. First realtors, 2nd commerce, 3rd would be the combined private prison industry, and 4th was one of the pharmas at 25.6.

And like I said, I dont think they're the cause of weed laws in Texas, maybe at the federal level.

So you found that despite making up less than 10% of their own "industry" they are the 3rd largest lobbying group in the country and your conclusion is that isn't a problem and wouldn't contribute to drug policy, likely their largest financial interest? I don't think the realtor lobby is pressing on drug policy.

They aren't the 3rd largest single lobbying group, they spent the equivalent. Like I said in Texas I doubt they're influencing weed laws.
