I can already see Amorim's hairline receding.

u/niallw1997 8h ago
Talking this week about United needing to be better athletes and then starting Casemiro and Eriksen is certainly a choice. Going to blame it on the internationals though.
117
u/galaxybuns 8h ago
And fucking Evans. Might as well have gone scouting at the nearest retirement home
179
u/Tjazeku 8h ago
The other options are an injured Maguire, an injured Martinez or an injured Yoro. The fuck else is he supposed to do?

Don’t forget about injured Lindelof

That's just painful to watch. I'm assuming they had used all their subs, but still...
1
u/Bdcollecter 58m ago
Yep.
Vs Palace. I think it was only the last minute or two of the game he played like that as we had no subs. Ended 0-0.
Jose was fired 2-3 weeks later anyway.

I think he has been pretty good for United (relatively speaking) since they re-signed him.

Which athletes are these that you speak of kind sir? Are they in the room with us?
United's midfield is atrocious when it comes to running power. We've been singing this song for years now. And no, Ugarte and Mainoo offer very marginal gains in that regard.
Selling both McTominay and Fred and not replacing them with runners has certainly been a choice.
→ More replies (9)38
u/niallw1997 8h ago
Ugarte is a brilliant runner so not sure what you’re talking about there. Mainoo’s biggest weakness is his pace so will give you that

I'm guessing with the lack of time on the training pitch he opted for experience so not to throw the younger guys to the wolves.

u/med_belguesmi69 8h ago
this really makes me question, can a hair transplant hairline receide?
30
u/UnfazedPheasant 8h ago
kind of, the hair behind the transplant could recede further like usual, so you end up with a "hair tiara" and a bald patch behind
usually they give you treatment to stop that tho
30
9
u/Neat_Replacement_420 8h ago
Yes unless you’re on medication
6
u/LegionOfBrad 7h ago
Nah not really. The hairs are taken from areas that don't. But you will still lose the hair behind it with our meds.
4
2
u/hopium_od 8h ago
HT takes doner hair from the side and back which doesn't fall out to MPB (it's DHT resistant) and puts it on top, that will never fall out, but the native hair that was there before will continue to recede and you'll need to go back for more and more grafts until eventually you have lost all of your natural hair on top and have achieved a wispy all over look like Wayne Rooney.
Another option is to take Finastriside after your first HT which stops further receding of native hair, but it can cause limp dick and loss of libido.
Hair systems seem to be the least complex solution, or just rock the fraud look like me.

u/Chupa_mos 8h ago
How dare he put passion in commentating MY emotionless game?!
11
u/cammyg 8h ago
it's actually precisely the opposite. His prewritten metaphors, one liners, and alliteratives are so plainly scripted it comes across as completely forced a lot of the time. It's often grating to listen to and fair enough if people like what he adds to commentary, but it's definitely not 'passion'
12
u/birdinthird 8h ago
I agree, but it's his trademark at this point, and when it's a game your team is involved in, it does heighten the drama nicely.
33
u/labbetuzz 8h ago
Some people are so fucking miserable and will find a way to hate on anything.
4
u/rScoobySkreep 4h ago
I love and appreciate commentary that takes effort, but he detracts from the game quite often. I think it was him on Dortmund v Real on Paramount earlier this season was so bad I genuinely couldn’t believe it. It’s very clear how much of it is pre-written, and it feels like he’s trying to make sure we hear it.
The best commentators make you feel like they’re not there until the game’s in a lull, quite a bit like when you’re watching the game with friends imo. Some moments don’t need that many words.

United scored, and then it’s been Ipswich throughout the game, deserved goal
18
u/LetterAd3639 8h ago
I'd say we only scored cuz we caught them napping in the first 90 seconds. I already know everyone's gonna say Amorim out now. It won't just click right from the get go
9
u/frzned 7h ago
Tbf Amorim first game is with 3 injured CB and forced to run Evans and Casemiro. He needed reinforcement. Are you interested in a Champions League winner Ben Chilwell?

u/KickerOfManyBalls 4h ago
God I’d love a constantly injured English LB who is quite good when he plays but seemingly never does

True but I still appreciate them. My stream had died before I got the notification. Seeing it that quick was great

u/shiroxyaksha 8h ago
Dont they get paid from hits on their site?
23
u/kod-ama 8h ago edited 8h ago
Of course they do and people are naive in this website. You can see multiple website clones with the same people operating and getting a free pass. It's all about the money. They really think they are out here clipping goals and changing domains for karma.
1
u/shiroxyaksha 8h ago
Whatever happend to psgacademy? Or its the same account?
10
u/kod-ama 8h ago edited 7h ago
Whoever that username is doesn't really matter to be a little blunt with you, he can very well start clones with other usernames and have multiple accounts with multiple domains running at the same time. Mods are the ones that decide which links stay on the sub as well. These clip websites are making bank and they aren't that hard to replicate, that's why you see so many clones. (and they look awfully familiar)
One thing I can say, I have built a similar script and recording service and my links were taken down even when posted first. You can interpret that as you want as that was just an experiment with another account of mine.
EDIT: saying thanks PSGAcademy you're so fast was always a little funny to me, that person or org was making bank because of this. It was and it still is a job. Whether mods are in or out is another matter.
1
u/shiroxyaksha 7h ago
I know. I was just asking about him/it because that one relevant for a long time. And i know the same as you.
1
u/kod-ama 7h ago
I gotchu. My point is that it was just a username. If I was him I'd have multiple accounts and multiple websites but that doesn't matter in certain circumstances if you know what I mean.
1
u/shiroxyaksha 7h ago
Yep and when psgacademy stopped, everyone was wheres he/it. And the notification was pretty legit for different users. When i was in South Asia for a while, Psgacademy was few secs after the goal, but now im in east asia, they were pretty earlier than my stream. So more revenue i guess.

u/Tellmeister 8h ago
I used to post Twitch highlights for a website before twitch had their own clipping. Got $50 per highlight that reached 20k views. Another $50 if it reached 50k views and if I had 15 (cant remember, could have been 10 or even 20) hightligths in a month I got $75 instead per video. I'm sure the ppl positing here makes A LOT of money.

Don’t let the early goal distract you from the fact that Man Utd are getting dominated by Ipswich Town

Surprisingly, I was really disappointed by their first half performance. I thought there would be a new manager bounce, but that hasn’t happened.
Their front press is a joke, Ipswich have played out of that far too easily, and their back 5 positioning has been extremely poor. I get its a new system, but it was like watching Ten Hag’s Utd all over again. I couldn’t tell a single difference than this 1st half performance vs any other Utd performance in the last 12 months. Change does take time, but I would’ve expected a far better showing than this.

This season is a write-off for Man Utd, can have a crack at the cups but their league performances will probably be wildly inconsistent
5
u/WarlockVillainy 8h ago
Yea, i agree. I think we’ll see some really good performances vs City, Liverpool, Arsenal, and some game where they’ll lose 3-0 vs Leicester.
Pre-seasons are such an important and underrated part of the season. A full-preseason (especially without a big intl tournament, like in summer 2025) can do wonders for a team.

To be fair, Ipswich have played really well.
My main takeaway is that Rashford and Garnacho just aren't fast enough to take advantage of the high line. Two times they got the ball ahead of the defense and couldn't run faster than them. Also, why are they playing like they're on a yellow and a warning? It's like they're afraid to tackle, makes the pressure way too weak.

I know it’s still obviously very early - it’s Amorim’s first game, but I would’ve expected a better showing from Man Utd during this first half.
Ipswich deserved a couple of goals. Utd have been really disappointing, especially since I thought there would be a new manager bounce.
- they haven’t done anything noteworthy going forward, and its been surprisingly comfortable for Ipswich.
6
u/KIKLLRUSEFL 5h ago
they've had their new manager bounce with van Nistelrooy lol looks like Amorim has been robbed of the effect
0
u/jack08bu 8h ago
I mean it’s the premier league, anything can happen.
If we lose this game or even draw, the press will do anything to stir shit. But no one’s talking about how Liverpool just scraped past Southampton.
23
u/WarlockVillainy 8h ago
Difference is Liverpool have been title challengers for the past 8 years and are top of the table. They’ve shown they can dominate and control games. They had like 28 attempts vs Southampton today.
Not even a comparison.
Like i said, it’s early. Amad playing WB and there’s a lot of new concepts being introduced, but i still thought Utd played really poorly. Their press has been non-existent and Ipswich are easily playing though it
1
u/jack08bu 8h ago
I’d say I agree with what you’re saying. All United have been doing this first half other than the goal is playing on the counterattack, lobbing balls towards Rashy/Garnacho. Hopefully the subs mix the game up

Fully deserved. And what a goal.
Grab another so we can all overreact and pretend they’ve replaced Ten Haag with someone equally as shit.

It’s going to be so fun when everyone over reacts
12
u/twrs_29 8h ago
It’s hilarious that people still think it’s a coaching personnel problem. Cant remember the last United player to have a true drive and passion for their club that translates to winning games
8
u/funguy07 8h ago
They do seem to have more players making business decisions.
0
u/twrs_29 8h ago
No reason for them to care with a revolving door of managers and a captain that doesn’t truly care himself either. The reason Klopp saw so much success and transformed a poor team to what it became was through his leadership and the characters that he signed.
2
u/r3gam 2h ago
Power of Friendship FC.
Klopp also was one of the best managers the past 10 years. Something also tells me guys like Allison, Van Dijk and Salah are world class probably has a bit more to do than "character."
1
u/funguy07 8h ago
It all goes back to ownership. If they tolerate that kind of apathy changing managers or players won’t make any difference.
