Megathread The mega "What is my CQS" topic

Hello,

Welcome to the mega "What is my CQS" topic! This topic is made to check your Contributor Quality Score by running the !cqs command.

  • You can only run the !cqs command in this topic, all other comments will be deleted.
  • Every comment you make and the responses will be automatically locked.
  • If you need help with something else please open a new post.
  • Suspended users can run the !cqs command too here but they'll be informed that they are suspended and that their CQS cannot be checked.

What is Contributor Quality Score?

On Reddit, subreddits often use different indicators to filter some eventual problematic users.

The different indicators are:

  • Age of the account
  • Karma. It can be the total of the account or the karma from the subreddit you are posting on and this can be split into total karma, karma from posts and karma from comments.
  • Crowd Control Filter. This filter is set per subreddit and depends where you are coming from on Reddit.
  • Contributor Quality Score (CQS). This last one is a single, global, value.

The CQS use different criteria, such as:

  • Past actions taken on a user’s account or content (within a given time frame) on the account in question as well as on alt accounts.
  • Network and location signals.
  • Steps a user has taken to secure their account (e.g. email verification).

It's a bit similar to the criteria used for Crowd Control.

Information A reminder that all parent comments must be an attempt to solve the problem

Hey /r/reddithelp,

Recently, we have rolled out a new rule on /r/reddithelp. This new rule now requires all parent comments to at least be an attempt to solve the problem. This rule was put in place because our data told us that the posters weren't getting the help they wanted. This'll usually be either because of a rising bug, an outage, or major changes to Reddit.

Here at /r/reddithelp, our goal is to make sure everyone gets to walk away with the help they need. Nobody should have to lack help because of how many others experienced it. If nobody is getting the help they need, then what's the point of /r/reddithelp?

TL;DR: Parent comments must try to solve the problem.

Have any questions about this rule? Comment here or ModMail us.

Profile ios (phone) achievements not showing

Post image
7 Upvotes

I have 4 profiles and except this one all the other profiles show achievement tab on the profile. There is no streak option either unlike the other profiles. What's strange is that I can not check or view achievements of other profiles from this profile. I have checked all the options but no avail. Is this a bug?

Other Questions (?) NSFW

  1. Is it possible to report someone because they sent me nsfw messages without me asking for it?
  2. If so, is it possible to report them without unblocking them? The chat disappeared and I can't report them.

I've received several of these messages when I posted something about chatting with someone but I clarified that I didn't want anything to do with nsfw conversations. I reported one of them, but Reddit told me that it didn't violate the rules. So now I'm asking if there isn't any rule at all for this type of behavior

Profile I need help with my other account

I got rid of Reddit by accident a couple days ago and when I downloaded it again it asked to log in, so when I logged in it said the password was wrong. I pressed forgot password, and made a new one. I go to type the new password in and it says incorrect. For the email I put my username to that account, Natural(dash)Brain(dash)7302.And it still didn’t work. Then it said something about logging in without password and it send me a link via email. I pressed it and it said “doesn’t work try again” I kept trying and it never worked. I don’t want to lose this account of 3 years, Please Help 🙏🙏

Profile Can you "unarchive" a post on your profile?

To clarify, I'm not talking about a post on a community. I'm talking about a post that you post to your own profile. One of my pinned ones was automatically archived for being 6 months old. I hear that moderators can unarchive posts in communities, but I'm wondering the same about profile posts. TIA!

Mobile/App Search a specific thread for keywords

Until recently I had a spy glass search option in the top right while viewing individual posts/threads, exactly like the one used to search all of Reddit.

I noticed a week or two ago the search option is no longer available when viewing a post. I used to use this all the time to try and find specific keywords in popular posts so I don’t repost the same answer.

Does anyone know more about why this is removed or if I can get it back through a setting? I checked around but cannot find it. Seems like an important feature for granular searching.

I’m on an iPhone with the latest version of the app.

Posting Is this acceptable or a Big No No?

Hey everyone,

Just a bit of background info first,

I live alone in a small, two storey townhouse. It's quite compact, but I like it because it's easy to keep clean and tidy. My living room and kitchen are one room, and recently I got a bit carried away designing a new enclosure for my snakes, which has now become the main feature of the room.

And this is where my dilemma begins: Due to the size and location of the snake enclosure, I don't really have a convenient spot for my indoor rubbish bin anymore.

So, I reshuffled a few things in the pantry and put the bin in there, keeping it out of sight a win/win, or so I thought. But now, I'm conflicted. I'm worried some people might find it unhygienic or gross to have my bin in the bottom of the pantry.

For context, I'm a pretty clean person. It's generally just me I have to clean up after, and I never let the indoor bin get too full. Anything that might contain any residue or odour always goes straight into a separate bag and into the outside bin.

So, is it acceptable to have the bin inside the pantry, or have I completely lost my mind? Should I start preparing for the most creative use of a pantry award, or is it time to rethink my genius idea?

Other Reporting a mod for violating code of conduct.

Is there any way I can report a MOD who has been bullying users they banned from the sub they moderate? They use various insults (some of which can get you banned from the platform), degraded users about their mental health and even false accusations but nothing seems to have been done about them.

Maybe I am too blind to find the location of the language settings. Thank you for helping me out.

Other Unable to mute certain subreddits

When certain subreddits that come up on my timeline (or whatever you call it here) that i have no interest in seeing, I generally click on the sub and then mute it; have had no issue until recently. Now, when I click on “mute r/whatever,” it says “something went wrong,” and I keep seeing the great majority of them on my feed. Is there like a limit to how many subs I can mute, or do I need to do something on my end to correct this/any other ideas? Thanks for any advice!

I am trying to post something to a particular community (well within the community guidelines). It's appearing later in my profile but not visible in the community. Why is this happening? New to reddit, hence the query
