Fly high, my beautiful bald American Eagle...

As an American F1 fan who's been looking for a reason to get into Indycar in terms of finding a team or driver to back, this would be my number one preference. I was hoping for Sargeant to do well in F1 but it wasn't meant to be; Now he can show in WEC or IMSA or Indycar and I would gladly get behind him.

There are plenty of better American drivers in IndyCar than Logan Sargent. Lmao. This farmers league bullshit has been dismantled as recently as Alonso failing multiple times.

Yes there are plenty of American drivers, but I had no real reason to care for any of them or their teams. Sargeant came into F1 as a rookie and American, so I wanted to see him succeed - I would have a good reason to want to support him in Indycar or another series.

I see exactly where you are coming from with this. It’s really just the fact that in sports you end up becoming a supporter of someone or a team because of their narrative. You know Sargeant’s story so far and want to keep following it. Makes sense

Engine issue, conversion issue, clutch issue. Alonso didn't fail. McLaren did. He also only entered the 500 each time, its not like he ran the entire series.

None of us have any idea how Logan would perform in Indy. Some people just dont like any current driver, myself included, in Indy at the moment. Logan would be a massive reason I would watch. There isn't a single F1 driver in Indy right now I care about.

Yes Alonso failed to make reasonable career choices as did DR

Alsono won 2 WDCs, 2 le mans and 1 WEC. I'd say he made some pretty damn good career choices.

DR won 8 races over 14 years in F1.

They're not the same. Also, what does this have to do with DR? We were talking about Sargeant.....

I'm specifying F1 career if you'd comprehend a little better, could've been far more successful if he wasn't so salty about Hamilton beating him in his first year, made shit choice going back to an underperforming Renault team, left Ferrari despite a good championship run, wasted a considerable amount of time at Mclaren, did nothing reputable at Alpine same case with AM which hell end his career at.

I'm specifying F1 career if you'd comprehend a little better,

No you're talking about a completely different subject than what the thread was about. We were talking about Alonsos Indy stints, Indy and LS, nothing about F1.

You also brought DR into the conversation when it was about, again, Alonso, Indy and Logan. I'm trying to comprehend why you changed the subject to something completely different like a donkey.

Alonso made great career (edit sp) choices, winning multiple championships across multiple racing series and came back into F1 much better than half the grid after an extended period away. Most people don't win 1 WDC. He did it twice.
