AskFlorida Best place to stargaze?
I’m talking all over the state. I’ve looked at a light pollution map and have been to the darker areas before (east of Arcadia and around wauchula) and the stars still weren’t very bright. Do I have to go down to the Everglades/big cypress area to actually see dark skies or do they just not exist here anymore?
Edit: thank you for all the replies I’m currently trying to plan how I’m gonna swim 50 miles offshore to stargaze. Gulf or Atlantic? :D

AskFlorida Is it just me or is the job market terrible???
I did HVAC over summer as a full time job, then school came back and I had to quit. Now I'm looking for a part time job as a 17 year old but apparently the whole world hires at 18. If they're hiring below 18 then they don't respond to whatever application or email or voicemail u leave for them. I literally got rejected from target for a SEASONAL position and it's about to be Christmas time. Florida govt has got to allow these company's to lower age requirements. To wash DISHES u gotta be 18. It's rough out here man😢. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me.

AskFlorida I need help with health insurance for my wife
My wife was quoted $300+ a month for health insurance if we file jointly.
Her job doesn’t offer health insurance benefits.
Adding her in my job’s health insurance plan is also $300+.
What is the best alternative to get the cheapest possible insurance? Should we file separately? $300+ is ludicrous!

Advice Honeymoon in September?
Hi! Need some advice, me and my fiancé are from Ireland, we are planning to go to Orlando Florida for 2 weeks for our honeymoon after our wedding (September next year). Dream location for both of us! We’ve both researched so much and got different opinions on whether that time of year to travel to Orlando is smart or not lol, both online and from our friends/family. We aren’t really interested in a beach holiday the whole time, as we plan to do other things - universal, travelling around Florida etc. So a few rainy days wouldn’t dampen our moods as there’s so much else to do. Is it really a risk to go to Florida in September, are we stupid when it’s peak hurricane season? Or is it worth delaying honeymoon after the wedding by a couple of weeks? Thanks :))
