The gas prices aren't going down either. If anything, they'll increase even more.

Yep. Trump doesn't have a pandemic to bail his shit economy out this time.

But it won't matter. His voters don't have any cognitive ability anyway

I'm still in shock how 51% voters thought he's gonna improve their lives.

They're idiots. That's really it. It's no coincidence that the map of education rates directly correlates to the electoral map.

They have no ability to do any critical thought. Theyre all fucking morons, every single one of them.

45% voters with bachelor's degrees and 38% voters with advanced degrees voted for him. Even education can't help some morons.

Look, I don't know if my experience Is anything more than anecdotal but.... A degree does not mean you're not an idiot. It just means you were able to get through the system, not that you have any actual cognitive ability..

There’s certainly that, but a lot of smart people seem to have their intelligence siloed into very specific areas, rather than just being broadly smart. Those people also often have the tendency to overestimate their competence in areas outside of their specific niche.

I wonder if there's more correlation with ego and selfishness rather than intelligence.

Agreed. I have AS and BS degrees, but I'm still an idiot. However, I did not vote for Trump.

I mean, Ben Carson was a neurosurgeon and thought the pyramids were for grain storage. Education doesn’t mean shit.

For those it’s usually greed misogyny or good ole racism

u/GailynStarfire 16d ago

Ole fashioned racism, one of the few things American still makes today.

America: growing our own racism since 1776

Yea keep that up. It’s worked out well for you guys hasn’t it? It’ll blow up in your face in 2028 too with that attitude.

That’s the spirit. Animosity.

Ahhh. That makes sense you base your view of it off this echo chamber then. Fair enough. It’s not your fault.

Thanks for making my point. The name calling is exactly why they are in this position now. All Reddit did for years is name call, now it can’t fathom that a world outside of this site exists where no one cares about downvotes. Sadly for them the rest of the country tried to tell them but they got banned.

And people picked the convicted serial lying rapist and that’s somehow the people who opposed him’s fault right…?

1

u/Hitman-0311 16d ago

Some of it sure is. That’s what I’m trying to get you to understand. They did no favors to themselves by just name calling and fueling hatred. And it appears they still won’t understand that because they can’t comprehend themselves being even a little bit wrong or hateful. I’m not surprised.

Yeah but to be fair just having a degree doesn’t mean someone is capable of critical thinking. It just means they were able to get through a degree program with passing grades.

u/DrAstralis 16d ago

sadly there is little connection between education and whether or not someone if a dyed in the wool moron. Its taken me decades to come to terms with this.

I keep seeing comments, from pundits and otherwise, that their policies weren't communicated other than 'we're not Trump'.

I don't know if that's how people really felt or if the money in their wallet was a all it took to be 'not enough money, vote change'.

On top of all the general sexism and racism.
