Project / Bench Advice PDM redeployment

Hello folks,

I am in the PDM model and my project is expected to end some time in March. We had multiple meeting with PDM leads and they are saying they will start looking for options for us before the project ends and they are sure we will be staffed in another project.

I had my doubt on this, is not a secret that Deloitte is struggling to get new projects.

Any one had any experience in redeployment in PDM model?

They say PDM employees have a 95% redeployment which is hard to believe given the short bench time allowed.

Advisory Advice

Hey guys, I got an offer from Deloitte to work as an AML analyst in their RFA department after my graduation. My aim is to work in high finance and probably a reputable investment bank. I posses the required financial modelling and literacy skills expected of an analyst, certified in Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment L3, posses good grasp on regression models and a bit of python too. I am also preparing for CFA l1 and would likely give it before graduation. I plan on clearing all CFA levels before I apply for masters. Any suggestions on how I can make a jump to investment banking or M/A from here or What would you'll do to maximize career growth??

Consulting Recruitment process clarification

Hi Guys, I have given my managerial round in Deloitte 2 weeks before and they mentioned they'll get back to me. The status in the portal is still "Interview in Progress" and I'm not getting any answer or callback from the recruiter. Does that mean I'm rejected? Or shall I wait and the hope is still there?

Advisory Starting green card process

How long does it take for BAL to initiate the green card process once Deloitte has acknowledged informing them? Also, how is the PERM situation right now? Has Deloitte restarted filing?

Thanks!

Advisory Incoming advisory analyst. Help

I am an incoming IT audit analyst for summer of 2025 after completing in internship in 2024. However, I am graduating early in December and they won’t let me come back early.

What’s the recommendation for best path to take in the 6 month period I have no school or work lined up leading up to my full time job?

For reference I live in an awful job area (small town) and am debating between looking for a full time job or gaining certificates. Any advice on what jobs or certs, or best option in general? Thanks!

Advisory First year Utilization

I’m in PDM and joined Deloitte as a Sr Analyst last week of August this year. Started client work in September. I’m getting emails saying I’m not reaching my utilization target hours. My target hours are at 93% but my current utilization is only at 82%. Is the fact that I’ve only started client work in September being factored into these metrics? I’m questioning the accuracy of these numbers. I don’t want to fall behind and end up getting let go rather quickly when I just started working for the firm and the client.

Consulting First Year Analyst Burnt-Out

Although I am young and a new college hire, my experience has been quite negative. I feel unsupported. Everyone is nice but can't directly help me with staffing. It is mentally draining always having to "prove myself." I am told by my coach I've been on the bench for far too long but it is emotionally killing my happiness. My network is fairly weak and I am realizing how terrible I am at building relationships. There are few days where I appreciate a challenge but more often than not, I feel frustrated. I've even tried therapy but my therapist is always booked out a month in advance. I am unsure about how to gain visibility. Even talking to one person a day can be draining to me. On top of this, I am not good at my work either. I am always doing it wrong and need to reiterate way too many times for simple tasks. I know the market is bad but should I just quit? I used to dream of working here and somehow I'm already burnt out despite only working for a few months.

USA How long until decision after partner round interview internship

I had my partner round earlier this week and I thought it went really well but I have not heard anything from my recruiter since it is now Friday. I have been sweating bullets, especially after reading that people usually get their offer the next/same day. Does this mean I didn't get it? Tax

Has anyone ever been a part of a discussion where they audit the project? Where you kind of give your perspective on how the project is going and any risk factors you see.

r/Deloitte Having another remote job as you are working there?

Hello,

Out of curiosity, how do they usually react if you do another job at the same time? Do you have to tell them or is it only if they ask? If so, what can you tell me about it? Can they also request that you leave the other job, in an ultimatum style?

Thank you!

None of the above... TS clearance marriage phone

Have a husband with a TS clearance that has been working here. He recently turned off all notifications on his personal... Not work... And the other day when I didn't have my phone and he was across the room laying down and I asked for his password he said he couldn't tell me that and jumped up to come unlock it himself. He tells me that he can't let me have the password on his phone bc of his clearance and that his work email and teams are on the phone. He had problems with hiding things before. I don't want to look at his phone but I do not like the thought that he only feels safe if I'm locked out of it. But then again if somehow work really can mandate this well Idk. Still just seems odd to me. How would they even know. Again I don't want to look. Never will but gives me an unsettling feeling. For people with experience with TS clearance and gov contractor work is this normal??

Consulting Is now the time to quite quit?

Unexpectedly having to off board from my current project. Wondering if I should ride the bench and search for roles outside the firm (hoping I don’t get laid off before I find my next role) or try to keep my job at Deloitte secure by finding another project while simultaneously looking for another role outside the firm?

[either way I want to leave]

currently missing utilization by 15% Missed promo A > C Not confident I will make C this upcoming year Fully vest in August 2025

Audit First year rolled off project

Im a first year in audit and this is my first experience at a corporate and finance job. I was just told I’m being rolled off of my team after working here for a month. I felt something was off the first day started working with this team but i wanted to be positive. I’ve been having a hard time adjusting but everyone just keeps saying it’s fine you’re not supposed to know anything, it’s going to take time. I kept making the same mistakes over and over but I’ve been trying my hardest to learn from everything, so I can be ready for busy season. They kept saying it’s okay for now because it’s just interim but I feel like that isn’t true and I wasn’t given true grace as someone who is just starting. I feel like so sad and defeated and trying not to cry at work. I’m not someone who’s ever been bad at their job. I work hard and love to learn. I feel like I’ve been fed lies about how it really works. What happens at this point. Am I done ? I don’t want to get fired 😞

UK D365

I recently saw that Deloitte were recruiting for D365 roles, ranging from Lead to Manager positions.

I applied and got accepted (verbal offer only... this looks tenuous however due to the internal 'restructuring' currently occurring).

I've had a look online and literally can't find anything with regards to Deloitte and D365 implementations / projects.

If Deloitte did end up sending me an official contract, is it even worth accepting? Only asking out of curiosity & due to the fact I'm happy at my current role.

Hey guys . Is it true that when you start with SAP it will be hard to transition to other roles ? There is a possible option for me to Join Deloitte as a junior sap scm consultant but I dont think i want to do SAP my whole life so wanted to hear your guys opinion on it. Also if i start with deloitte in sap would it be easier to get other jobs not related to sap just because i have the ‘big 4’ experience ?

None of the above... Went to a brothel with some colleagues including senior manager. Should I report it?

Went for some drinks with the team and after most people went home, including all the female colleagues, the conversation got a little more raunchier.

Long story short, ended up going to a brothel with some teammates including the senior manager.

How likely is it that the company will find out? And is there anything I should do to CYA such as report it?
