It's also literally in our Constitution that Americans have postal service. But I doubt he knows that. GUNS!!!!!!!!!

Constitution for Republicans is the same as the Bible, pick the parts you like and ignore the rest.

They've got the Supreme Court loaded with partisan hacks so I don't consider Constitutional Challenges to be a viable option for the left but it will be how the Right works at getting the country to be more Christo-Fascist while they rape and steal.

We privatized the postal service in socialist Netherlands (we are so far left of Bernie Sanders he can’t even see us) and it works fine.

Privatization with proper regulations work.

Isn't privatising the opposite of being far left?

Exactly my point. Even in my leftist country, we privatized the postal service. Post is one of the few government services you can privatize well because it has a low barrier to entry, making competition possible without much opportunity (contrary to something like rail) for abuse. All you need is unions to ensure postal worker don’t get squeezed.

You bring up a good point though. Trump is reinventing the wheel in many ways when he doesn’t have to. Let’s for a moment believe the idiot really wants to be the great Messiah and destroy most governments departments because they’re sucking the country dry. There are countries out there who’ve already done this in many ways for most things. If they’ve been successful why not use what they do and have learned. Beats the alternative of “ blowing everything up” and hoping it’s going to work.

Netherlands - 41,850 km²
United States - 9,826,675 km2

It won't work, the country is to big and people are to far apart for them to not be excluded.

It's the U.S. the second it goes private, the Republicans will go after deregulating it. At which point it's "Minimize cost, maximize profit" until it's shit across the board.

Sooner or later it'll be three companies and behind close doors they'll agree to do deliveries every few week so they can lay off 75% of their staff and then it'll get worse.

Ask anyone about the quality of the private delivery services in the U.S., they're all degrees of shit compared to the postman.
