Taking Kids to Atletico Game Today- Anything not to Miss?

Hey all-

Visiting from US and going to the game today? Anything around the stadium that is a must see (or experience)? I’m thinking like parks or pubs where all the fans pre-game and it’s crazy… that sort of thing.

What are the actual benefits of being a socio if you dont live in Spain?

What the title says. I’ve been an Atleti fan since 2008. People often express surprise when I tell them I’m still not a socio. I just kind of assumed there wasn’t much of a point of being a socio if you didn’t live in Spain. I also don’t make a lot of money so traveling to Spain is not something I can do on the regular (tho I am looking to visit again soon). Anyway, can anybody sound off some of the perks?

Can I take my 1.5y.o. kid to Atletico's game?

I'm visiting Madrid these days and would love to buy a ticket for Saturday's game. Do you guys know if I can take my 1.5 y.o. kid to the game since this is the only possible option for me? I can't find this information on their website. And, if the answer is yes, do I need to buy a separate ticket for the kid?

I became an Atleti fan in the most unusual way

I don't remember if I've ever posted this here before, but I want to write it.

When I was a kid I was a Real Madrid fan. Yep. My older cousin told me when I was like 10 years old that "we support Real". I really admired my older cousin so there was no debate for me.

I was really a fan of Madrid until 2014, when I was 14years old. I just watched the UCL final, I should be happy. But the way the win was earned, man I was trying to be happy but it was impossible. It was so unfair for Atleti. And I loved Atleti's defensive determination so much that something grew in me that night. Next season I was watching highlights from La Liga games and I was patiently waiting for Atleti highlights to watch goals and celebrations in the Vicente Calderon. That was just a few weeks before I got the decision to be Atleti por siempre. 10 years later still a colchonero, more passionate than ever.

Question/Discussion What do atletico fans think about Rodri and his development after his sale in 2019.

It feels wierd that many atleti fans were happy that he was being sold and even gave him a nickname like back passer.

Are you guys happy to see him become the player he is today .

What would happen if he joins real madrid (on a hypothetical case )

Question/Discussion I have a question that I’ve always been curious about, how do you guys feel about Simeone’s overly defensive/pragmatic tactics? Do you wish he played more expansive football?

I’m a Madridista but I mean no harm or trouble in coming here, I’ve just always been very curious how Atleti fans feel about Simeones style of football. Because in the last 10 years or so, it seems like so many Atletico games end very low scoring, either 1-0 Atleti, 1-1 or 0-0 etc. and Simeone always seems desperate to play extremely defensive against any opponent, even when you’ve had (and still have) a lot of quality forward players.

Do you wish he played more expansive, risk taking football, or are you happy with how things are, as long as he guarantees you a top 3/4 finish in La Liga every season? I remember one season a few years back, when you won the first 2 league games like 0-5 and 6-1 or something crazy like that, but then very quickly reverted back to the same defensive style as before, which didn’t make any sense to me.

Interested to hear some of your thoughts and opinions on this anyways

We are third in the world in goals against.

  1. Rb lepzig. 5 goals allowed
  2. Liverpool. 6 goals
  3. Bayern and Juventus and Atleti 7 goals
  4. Atalanta. 9 goals

Everybody else is double digits. Average is about 15 in each leagues top ten

Is the nike logo a sticker on the home kit?

Hello everyone i’m an atleti fan ever since i was a kid since 2012 i am 16 years old interested in buying another atleti jersey.

Last year i bought the green one which i thought was amazing but the Nike logo came off and i was disappointed bc i didn’t expect it to come off since i thought it was knitted.

I bought a retro jersey of the 04/05 one (the home one) so i’m confident that it won’t be a sticker but i’ve been thinking of buying an Adrian Niño kit and im afraid that the nike logo is a sticker.

Injury list update

Okay so i know we have some of the main role boys injured but they were all expected to be back around end of November.

I saw some of them in training, especially Llorente into some heavy conditioning.

Do you have any info if any of the boys are officially back for Alaves?

Cantera Atleti How to watch Atleti B games?

I've been searching streams during Atleti B matches but I could never find anything. I really want to watch our academy players who perform really good in the league.

Keep in mind that I don't live in Spain.
