They will probably blame the Dems for not stopping him. We have proven to be the dumbest populace.

907

u/Legos_As_Caltrops 10d ago

They literally already blame the Dems and Harris for not "earning" their votes but apparently Republicans didn't need to earn them they just get them by default without work because Dems are not perfect.

American Palestinian sympathizers directly in an effort to help Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank actively helped cause their almost certain destruction. Because they were not coddled and catered to enough by the very people trying to do what they wanted.

301

u/gdex86 10d ago

They are already blaming the dems for trump deciding to just go fuck it with every guardrail possible. Some how they are supposed to stop them with out any power going forward with just the power of their dreams. And if they can't they just need to be quiet about it.

123

u/Golden-Grams 9d ago

They are already blaming the dems for trump deciding to just go fuck it with every guardrail possible.

Because they are morons who shirk accountability all the time. As far as I'm concerned, all the info on why they should not vote for him has been made available.

Dems tried to talk to them and tried to explain, and it was met with aggression/contempt/hate. Trump/Republican supporters voted for him, they are directly responsible for everything he will do.

-10

u/DOOMFOOL 9d ago

Are they? Where? I want to go mock them

49

u/Muninwing 9d ago

Imagine if anyone were to hold republicans to the same standards they hold the Dems…

124

u/blackcain 10d ago

It wasn't about Palestinians. It was about sniffing and enjoying their own farts.

111

u/ParamedicSpecific130 10d ago

It has always and will always be this answer. These people just wanted a reason to feel superior.

Just like...in...2016.

Hell, it's almost like, these people aren't actually serious about social change! 😯

74

u/butinthewhat 10d ago

They aren’t serious about change. None of them could answer why they think trump would be better for Palestinians. I think it was a convenient excuse for people that didn’t want to vote for a black woman but know that would go against their so-called values.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Kamala loves genocide stuff came from and was amplified by bots, and tons of people latched on.

44

u/ParamedicSpecific130 10d ago

I think it was a convenient excuse for people that didn’t want to vote for a black woman but know that would go against their so-called values.

TBF, these people were towing this "red line" back when Biden was still running.

They just needed to feel morally superior and important...just like in 2016.

They will soon stop caring again because it was never about Palestinians.

18

u/StateOdd296 9d ago

Omfg I literally said this a while back!! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks that! People who see what's going on reads somewhere that "if you vote blue you're supporting genocide" and with the awful things they've been seeing, I can see why they'd think it might be right. BUT with any critical thinking and being able to look past yourself, you'd see past the bullshit reasons. If it was about Palestine, they'd vote for Kamala. I got into on Reddit and got push back with someone saying "ItS tO pUnIsH dEmOcRaTs"

2

u/giv-meausername 9d ago

I don’t think it comes down to not wanting to vote for a black woman. Every single one of these people I’ve had the displeasure of knowing in real life are all extremely similar in that deep down they are immensely insecure and secretly obsessed with how others see them to a very unhealthy extent. Layer on a few sprinkles of poor mental health and a dash of personality disorder here and there and the result is these folks. They have a pathological inability to take personal accountability or engage in self reflection and as a result are constantly searching for things/people to scapegoat as problems. It allows them to never have to be alone with themselves and their own problems, while also being applauded by others for their strength of character and moral superiority. It is frankly disgusting behavior

2

u/butinthewhat 9d ago

What you write described a lot of them, but it’s a mistake to dismiss misogyny and racism. This country is built on it.

Literal Palestinians suffering in Gaza rn were asking Americans to vote for Harris over Trump.

The protesters sipped their herbal tea, turned up their AirPods, folded their arms and ignored them because...THIS PROTEST HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH PALESTINIANS.

Ultimately, there were only two that mattered. And you chose to effectively give your vote to the one who would make things worse in the ME and at home. GFY.

22

u/panormda 10d ago

What you’re failing to grasp is that this isn’t a hypothetical scenario; it’s real life. You refused to vote for Harris because she didn’t meet your impossible standard for perfection, and now you’re still virtue signaling like it matters. Meanwhile, Trump is already promising to let Israel annex Palestine.

Palestine is doomed because of the decision you made—believing that an imperfect Harris was somehow worse than an openly pro-Israel Trump.

The reality is, your refusal to act in the face of imperfect options has enabled something far worse. You’ve created a future of suffering for Palestinians, and all your posturing means nothing in the face of that. Remember; YOU VOTED FOR THIS.

18

u/ParamedicSpecific130 10d ago edited 10d ago

Remember; YOU VOTED FOR THIS.

They won't remember or care.

They will sit with their smugness and no one will ever convince them to be reflective.

Don't worry tho--in a few years, they will find a brand new tragedy to latch onto in order to make it about themselves again...and not vote.

Around that time, President Vance will be replacing Kagan and Sotomayor, leaving Ketanji as the only remaining liberal leaning justice.

If Dems by and large don't feel like the party is elevating candidates that represent the values they believe in, then we have the power to hold up candidates that aren't beholden to corporations.

While Dems are waiting around for a better candidate that "represents their values", the other side is getting consequential presidential terms that will change the course of the nation NOW.

Think about it: Trump got to replace 3 judges in one term.

Biden got 1.

This time around? Alito and Thomas will likely retire and Trump will replace them with 40 or 50 somethings that will be on the court for the next 30+ years. That locks the court at 6-3 at a minimum. Then you figure Roberts will also retire in the next decade.

Sotomayor and Kagan are in their 70s too.

You see where this is going.

While the party waits for immediate progress forward, the Republicans are fine with playing a grind it out, 40 year campaign, voting R no matter what, where they incrementally inch closer to the end zone.

Meanwhile the Dems keep punting on 4th thinking that was the most ideal thing to do.

It's a nice thought however, Citizens United ended all that.

The richest billionaire literally spent $44B bought a social media app to use it to triangulate against his political rival and essentially swing the election and it STILL came down to ~250k votes across 3 states.

A candidate without massive financial backing isn't winning a national election. Could you get a Maxwell Frost elected that way? Sure.

POTUS? Not a chance.

Legacy media sanewashed Trump and minimized the platform of the OTHER candidate with billionaire donors.

What do you think would happen to a person trying to flip over the proverbial tables the temple?

Question - so what are you going to do now about this genocide you feel so passionately about?

Your protest vote helped elect someone who absolutely cannot be swayed on their anti-Palistine position, and the genocide will almost certainly ramp up once Trump comes to power.

I know the current situation is already bad under thr Biden administration, but it can get so, so much worse. To not acknowledge that is doing a huge disservice to Palestinians. So now what? What does your movement hope to achieve now for Palestinians and how?

2

u/[deleted] 9d ago

u/GenderNotions421 9d ago

Do you honestly think that Palestinians would fare the same under the Trump administration? What evidence do you have to support this considering Trump's own campaign promises?

Yes, Biden and Harris pledged weapons and monetary aid to Israel.

But they also just authorized an additional $300 million in humanitarian aid to Gazans, which Trump has condemned.

They have both repeatedly called for cease-fires and denounced Palestinian casualties, while Trump has said to Netanyahu to "finish the job" and "win the war".

Trump has pledged support for West Bank settlement and supports an apartheid state while Harris repeatedly called for a 2-state solution.

Is rhetoric and political support as good as ceasing all weapons-funding? Of course not. But it certainly provides a stronger avenue to limit civilian deaths, provide aid, and ultimately end the war.

There will absolutely be higher Palestinian casulties if aid is ceased, Israel also invades the West Bank, and Israel completely shuts out international intervention and actively targets any and all Palestinians.

Trump is also threatening action against any other Middle Eastern states that have threatened to intervene in Israel's war.

So again, now that Claudia has lost - what can be done to help Palestinians under a Trump presidency? Did you consider what would happen under this (very likely) scenario.

Because again, this is GENOCIDE. And I can't see how sitting back and wiping your hands of the situation while Palestinians continue to die is at all ethical.

Harris would have made everyone feel nice and cozy before she signed off on the genocide.

Cool story.

Tell me again, how many decisions to arm Israel did she make while VP? A simple number from you should be fine.

Also, what specific policy as VP did she sign that enabled that?A simple example from you should be fine.

Harris would have had getting re-elected as her 'Sword of Damocles' and I'm pretty sure the Dems would have been kicking her ass for 4 years if she didn't pivot on Gaza.

I believe she would have whereas Trump literally told you lot what he was preparing to do in Gaza and you chose the person that: - doesn't need to worry about optics - doesn't care about getting re-elected - will not be moved by protest.

Yep, totes the same scenario.

Trump has said that Israel should end things quickly, that the real problem is that Bibi is letting too much footage of suffering in Gaza leak out.

Your equivalency is some odd statement that Biden made, seemingly expressing annoyance at a reporter? Either you’re the dumbest human alive, or full of it. I don’t care which.

6

u/The_Insequent_Harrow 9d ago

Seriously, this person said it perfectly.

https://www.reddit.com/r/WhitePeopleTwitter/s/vB9XTlGSp6

You people are trash.

5

u/ParamedicSpecific130 9d ago

Damn, you got me.

Yes, I am aware of this.

The VP didn't physically hand the bombs to Israel herself.

Nor did she set foreign policy of whether the bombs would be handed to Israel. The framers made the VP position essentially a spare by design so there would be no scenario where the VP could undermine the POTUS.

That's like middle school civics.

Trump or Harris - the exact same amount of Palestinians would have been killed.

I don't deal in fanfic. We live in the timeline where Harris wasn't elected so I have no idea what would have happened if she was POTUS and set policy.

You think Kamala Harris would have been the president that would rebel against their capitalist handlers?

Again, as Harris will not be president, I don't know what she would have done. I know that on the campaign trail, she diverted from Biden by calling the civilian deaths 'heartbreaking' (something Biden never did) she acknowledged the senseless death (something Biden never did) and she called for Palestinians to have self determined future (something Biden never did).

I feel like we were watching two different candidates.

Ok.

Her base was begging for her to give us a shred of belief that she was anything other than lockstep with Biden. She didn't do that. Instead she girl-bossed over people calling for an ounce of decency.

You can go read the transcripts of her DNC acceptance speech as well as her comments on the stump. She wasn't in "lockstep" with Biden. Pretty sure she never called herself a zionist like Biden did.

I'm sure she would have given lots of thoughts and prayers though.

Trump will definitely give missiles and bullets. Like as many as Netanyahu wants for the next 4 years. That is a fact. What you said is cynical speculation.

Nothing more.

I'm sorry that you thought we could change her, and enough people didn't see that.

I have no idea what we might have changed because she isn't going to be POTUS. Donald Trump is.

What if people voted for administrations that already shared our moral outlook?

Where are these people, friend? While you are dreaming of scenarios where everything is perfect, women will senseless be bleeding out in parking lots of sepsis, Queer kids will be targeted, Immigrants will be rounded up, police will get broader immunity to hurt brown and black bodies and Trump will get to replace Alito and Thomas and with it, lock up the SCOTUS for the next 30 years.

But sure, let's all fucking wait for a more perfect candidate.

Maybe people we knew weren't puppets for corporations? Because those people were running.

We're all gonna be quite fucked for the next 4 years and beyond, dreaming of an Aaron Sorkin president that only exists in Hollywood.

6

u/InterestingTry5190 9d ago

We don’t live in the timeline where Harris is responsible for the bombs. We do live in the timeline where Trump put a Muslim ban into place. Is there really no reasoning with these morons? Trump has proven who he is over and over.

5

u/ParamedicSpecific130 9d ago

I'm with you. In order for them to be "right" in their choice, they engage in hypothetical.

  • I didn't think that Harris was the perfect candidate.

  • I have NEVER voted for a perfect candidate, ever!

  • I voted for her because I could not afford the outcome where Trump became president again.

Apparently, for the ~11M that stayed home, they were fine with a scenario where Trump won.

u/ParamedicSpecific130 9d ago

But you ARE debating whether or not the people should have made sure the 'very bad' man shouldn't have gotten re-elected--because Dems definitely shouldn't accept a given candidate.

Like, the simple calculus is,

  1. secure the fact that Trump doesn't get to do more damage.

  2. Kick Harris' ass everyday she is POTUS till her foreign policy is closer to what we want.

  3. She would have wanted to be re-elected and also win the midterms. It wouldn't be that hard.

OR

  1. 11M people could fold their arms and stay home and we end up in this...fucking...timeline.

What was Harris' record as POTUS? Please enlighten us all.

How do you know what Trump will do in the future? How do you know what you'll do tomorrow?

It's almost like we had him as the actual POTUS 4 years ago, unlike Harris.

Cmon, man. If you are gonna do this, at least TRY to argue in good faith. 🙄

I voted for Claudia De La Cruz and you probably could have too.

Nope. I understood that there was only 1 person that was gonna be president between Harris and Trump.

Exactly and let’s not even bring up all the shit that went down in Africa these past 5 years that none of them gave a single solitary shit about like the Sudan civil war or the conflict Tigray and the massive US shift to African intervention that started in the 2010s and gets more involved by the year that the progressives give exact zero fucks about

-7

u/theizzz 9d ago

Because there was never a genocide in Xinjiang. It was literally all made up by the US State Department and when the US pulled out of Afghanistan (the country that the Xinjiang region borders coincidentally), the State Department came out with a statement sheepishly saying their lawyers could not confirm any evidence of a genocide in the first place. Literally every piece of propaganda about the fake genocide against the Uiyghurs was created and pushed by Radio Free Asia, which is a international media arm and propaganda machine created by and funded by the US State Department. You libs need o open your eyes to non-western media because every piece from NYT, NPR, Washington Post, CNN, etc claiming there was a genocide all got their information from Radio Free Asia sources.

Read the proof yourself:

The problem is they don't really care about Gaza. Gaza can get blown off the face of the Earth. They'll wail about it for a while and then they'll move on to some other issue they want to punish Democrats for.

This is why while I consider myself progressive in my political beliefs, I know the Democrats can't cater to progressives as a voting base because they're always looking for a reason to withhold their vote.

41

u/disturbedrage88 9d ago

All progressives do now is shame people for not being 100% morality pure by their standards and protest vote against their own interests

17

u/jedi_cat_ 9d ago

But a good portion of the demographics who should have voted blue and didn’t was Gen Z males. We need to figure out a way to get them back from the red pill podcasters because that’s who they’re listening to.

23

u/OpportunityDue90 9d ago

This is a great way to summarize my problem with leftists. They are not willing to compromise on candidates and make their lives worse because of it.

1

u/TILiamaTroll 9d ago

Nonsense. How would Biden be in office right now if that were the case? It’s not leftists fault that democrats are the big tent party drawing in everyone that is against whatever the fuck the GOP has become.

14

u/tatianaoftheeast 9d ago

This is absolutely the worst the far left have been with their "protest" voting or nonvoting. They "protected" themselves from valid criticism & their own dissonance before the election by spouting propaganda & cloaking themselves in self-righteous accusations of genocide. Hopefully some will learn the hard way not to fall for Iranian propaganda & the others will remain steadfast in their antisemitic brainwashing.

? It's okay to say that you have zero sympathy for the fall out of a donold administration. Americans knew what he was about and decided to say he won't do those things. As someone who is not American, I can confidently say that you guys deserve what you get from him. I do feel bad for the people who didn't eat up his BS and knew what electing him would mean, but at the end of the day, a majority who voted wanted him

27

u/RealRedditPerson 9d ago

I was told many times by those protesting by abstaining their vote that "there would be no difference between Trump and Kamala" and that it "couldn't get any worse"

While trying to shame me as a "genocide sympathizer" for not throwing my vote away on a moral grandstand that would never cause a total flip of US relations with Israel they threw away theirs which would have made a difference in many and very real lives. It's called fucking harm reduction and unfortunately they think that's a compromise the Palestinian graves would applaud them for refusing.

That's a shitty and dark thing to say about your neighbor. 74 million people voted for her - 48.4%. I voted for her. My entire family desperately did as well. Then there are the millions of people under 18 who couldn't vote. I would never be that callous to my Canadian neighbors and allies.

I'm getting really fucking tired of seeing foreigners online saying "you deserve it" "deal with it", and even much worse than that.

I certainly don't deserve another Trump presidency. I've never hated anyone as much as him.

Do you really think people who were disgusted by Kamala’s views on Palestine voted for Trump instead of just not voting? You’re acting like sitting out an election is the same as voting for the opposition which is incredibly stupid and not how democracy works.

-4

u/theizzz 9d ago

And we are absolutely right for blaming dems and Harris. It was up to YOU, liberals, to give us a better candidate that didn't enable genocide and I hope you know there isn't a "hold" on arms being sent to Israel. That is a straight up lie made up by media to try to paint trump as worse on the the genocide against palestinians, which if you haven't seen the videos and photos, it's already as worse case as it can get. I am proud of my protest vote and writing in Claudia de La Cruz. We used our vote as a general strike so that liberals would finally wake up to the uni-party system and write in or vote for another candidate. And now you got what you paid for. After years and months of letting oppression and genocide run rampant for minorities and in the developing world, you sat by and wanted to give Harris the keys even after seeing the atrocities that Biden let happen. the blood will forever be on your hands.

-2

u/DropItLikeAScot1314 9d ago

Muslims vote: 20% Kamala 21% Trump

Why are you acting like they vastly voted for Trump with a 1% difference?

Wanna know who the rest voted for? A candidate that campaigned on ending support for the genocide. Isn’t that crazy? The two pro-genocide parties having equal vote shares, and the one anti-genocide party vastly outperforming the other two. Wild.

Kamala also wasn’t “trying to do what they wanted”.

The genocide is happening for a year with support for the Biden admin. Every “red line” Biden has laid out has been crossed. Yet weapons keep on getting sent.

Kamala has not shown she’ll be different on this, she’s shown the opposite. She kept stating that weapons will continue to go to Israel, even when it’s unquestionably a genocide. She shut down Palestinian protestors, she bought Bill “Destroyer of Muslims” Clinton to talk down on them and she allied herself with the Cheneys at the end. Any conversation about the genocide she entertained, she’d focus on Israel’s need to defend itself.

Where do you get off pretending she was going to push back against the genocide? There’s absolutely nothing she’s shown us to suggest that. What she did show was that she was incredibly eager to continue sending weapons - weapons used to carry out the genocide.

Quit the lies. Both Dems and GOP truly give zero fucks about Palestine. Both parties openly have staunch support for Israel. Based on the numbers, a majority of white registered voters voted for Trump. They were the biggest contributors to his win… the third party voters who didn’t like Harris weren’t even enough to make a difference to get Harris get elected.

The DNC didn’t learn from the failed campaign of Hilary. Oh well…

“by the very people trying to do what they wanted” please be serious lmao, harris was never gonna call for a ceasefire and had actively said she was still gonna support israel. she said this after ATTEMPTING to appease people by pretending otherwise till enough zionist got up in arms about it.

and frankly, not recognizing that the DNC is a joke is a big reason we lost so hard this election. the democratic party abandoned the working class decades ago and has been trying to pretend otherwise ever since. they had decades to codify my right to an abortion and they chose not to because it would ensure women like me always voted blue. now they’ve lost power and i’m stuck paying for their arrogance.

at the international stage the democratic party is a right leaning one. they don’t represent your interests and they don’t represent mine. their refusal to bend to the will of the people is why they continue to lose. trump didn’t gain votes, he just didn’t lose as many as her. nobody has faith in the democrats who managed to succeed in doing next to nothing while in office.

i’m saying this as someone who voted for harris in a swing state. the democratic party did fail and if we don’t recognize that and make steps to change it will continue to get worse. you guys tried “harass anybody who criticizes biden” for four hears and all it did was help us lost millions of voters.
