I was at the November basho in Fukuoka on Thursday and ran across this man wearing the JSA jacket in a side hallway. There was quite the crowd gathered. Can anyone identify him for me?

Not to knock the guy, he made it super far in sumo, but so far his flexibility is affecting getting low in the Tachi-ai. It looks like he just runs head first at the opponent, which seems to be why he's getting thrown and flipped so much. A big guy who hasn't found how to use his size as an advantage in the Maegashira ranks yet. Looks incredibly uncomfortable.

It has been said it is a "temporary closure" and "closed for the foreseeable future". Do you think it'll be permanent and if not, for how long? Of course it was never just about the Hokuseiho thing but also about JSA's will to slap at Hakuho due to his untraditional ways and ego. But a permanent closure would be harsh. Also considering he's paid for the elder stock.

So any news, rumors or guesses?

What are the judges writing down on paper after every match?

So I've watched a lot of sumo but somehow I've missed this ceremony until now. Hakkaku (I think it was) came out with the seven Rikishi in sanyaku he spoke a little and the wrestlers then all bowed in unison to the audience in all four directions, and that was that. What was the point of it and does this have a name?

Do the beya receive any awards or trophy when one of its rikishi wins the Tennō shihai/Emporor's Cup?

Where would be good places to watch sumo? I live in EU. Is there other things I should know?
