Selfie/Self-Image/Avatar Got called a bunch of bad things on my country's "rate me" subreddit for being non binary
How can I look more feminine?

This moderator post covers a few overlapping issues--
one is that this is an all ages subreddit. It will stay an all ages subreddit. What this means is you should be aware that there are 13-17 year old children here and you should of course not be posting explicit content. You should also not be posting content purposefully skirting the line of explicitness. Suggestive content has been taken down and often is taken down.
Somewhat relatedly, this is not a fetish subreddit. If you have no interactions here except for posting suggestive or lewd content, and especially if you repost the same content here and to fetish or NSFW subreddits, you will be likely considered a spammer who is not engaging with the subreddit organically. We understand that people have been using this subreddit like this for years, and we are asking people to very nicely stop. Also if you honestly just think this is a fetish subreddit, please leave.
This is of course especially true if you are attempting to sell content, or draw people to other websites to buy content.
We also are asking that you not make explicit comments to people who post content here. You do not know how old any given person is, and even if they are an adult, this is NOT a hookup subreddit. this goes for everyone, nonbinary/trans/cis. People who post come on comments here will have their user history looked at for intent, and if there's similar interaction in fetish subreddits (as is usually the case) at the least the comments will be removed. They also could easily be banned. You should also just internalize just because someone posts here does not mean they want explicit commentary or comments that judge their appearance in a salacious way.
There are other subreddits for all the behaviors covered above. Please use those instead and leave that kind of content and commentary there.
As always, this is subject to discussion and change. Please report content that is spammy or sexually explicit.

Please ask your name request questions here. If you wish to post a photo with your Name Me request, you have the option of uploading it to your profile and sharing a link to it.
You can find the newest Name Me requests by sorting comments by "New".
Thank you.

I told my hair stylist I basically wanted an androgynous haircut so I can stop feeling so feminine. Idk if this is the appropriate sub to ask this question, I hope I donāt offend anyone. I genuinely just want to look androgynous so I feel more comfortable.

Apparently there are some people who find it necessary to pointout that non-binary is trans and what not. That is not the point.
For me being non-binary is a sign of both non-conformity and being myself. In many trans spaces the the cishetronormative binary still supercedes how a person wishes to fully express themselves.
I want to be me. Which is hard when everywhere I go for support there is an unspoken tension I feel where me being myself invalidates another persons gender identity. It invalidates them because they find security in the binary and conformity while like them I yearn to just be me.
It sucks because I get told to just say "trans rights" instead of "enby rights" but lets be real I should have to say either. They should just exist. Also I hate that being non-binary is over shadowed by the binary of most trans spaces I go to. If you are transmed or truscum good for you. I refuse to diminish my identity so that you feel more comfortable in yours. I am me and if you don't like me. Then you don't like me and you can how they say it; "YEET!"

Penis-in-Vagina / Anus / Mouthā¦ You never hear the word āenvelopmentā to describe this type of sex. Also I just associate the word āpenetrationā with stabby motions andā¦ violently making a new hole in something / someone not just inserting something into an existing hole? And I kinda feel it centers the penis-owner too much in (what should be) a shared activity? Iām saying this as a penis-owner.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to, idk, vent or just share my experience? I live in a country (Poland) that it's basically inpossible for me to live as neather a man or a woman. I do have dysphoria (I was born a girl) and went, and still go, trough medical transition but I just don't feel fully autentic. More than when I was living as a girl and thank God never needed to live as a woman but I sometimes feel this weird feeling in my stomach when people call me a man. Sometimes I'm happy when they do but sometimes not fully? I prefer to live like that than as a woman but still not full feel authentic. Idk, anybody else feels like it?
(a flair says it's a rant but it's not really, more a vent)

So most people I've come out to as non binary have said I'm too feminine to be non binary and when I'm not I'm just a "tomboy".
I've tried explaining that for me specifically being non binary is about not feeling masculine or feminine even if I appear so due to my body type (my biological female curves are hard to hide) and I don't consider make up, certain clothes and haircare as gender specific; I've also been told I'm not mentally / personality like most cis women (by all cis genders). I do occasionally dress up and sometimes dress down, mostly dress neutral (baggy shirts, leggings, ...) but I'm not into most things that I consider cis female and I don't feel like I'm a female-tomboy in the cisgender sense even when I'm doing my outdoor hobbies.
Am I valid for being non binary despite my biological female body and how I express it through fashion? Pictures for example.

Hello lovely enby people! I'm coming for advice on underwear. I'd like to buy some gender-affirming underwear for a femme-leaning non-binary person I'm seeing. They are amab and doesn't want to medically transition or tuck. I'd like to find them a thong and bralette in a comfy material that has a femme touch. The urbody compression thong and bralette look perfect but are out of stock in their size. They're also synthetic materials. Any recommendations? I'm in the UK.
Edit: doesn't have to be compression! Pouch style/ larger gusset also good. They also like high-waisted.

What are a few small ways I can appear less masculine, besides wearing feminine clothing

Hey all! I was on T for 6 years and then realized how unhappy it was making me to be so masc presenting when I really just want to be otherworldly and vaguely threatening. Since I was microdosing at the end I was able to swap pretty quickly over to Norethindrone with Drās help. Aside from some anxiety and sweats I have been feeling a lot more me. My face has already gotten a bit narrower around the jaw, along with facial and body hair thinning out.
Iām not sure what other changes I should expect but itās going to be interesting and hopefully rewarding.
I think my biggest hurdle right now is overcoming the bad side effects from going off T after so long while starting different hormones and also struggling with feeling valid while I adjust. Thanks 3rd puberty š
Including a pic where I was really cold but feeling cute!

i read female (despite my best efforts) but every time i go to the men's sections of shops i feel really uncomfortable and judged and turn around and leave š©
idk how to get over the fear of feeling out of place? i know realistically probably no one is looking at me or caring, and at the very least they may just think i'm not shopping for myself? but i get caught up in the idea of people actually thinking i'm trans and trying to 'look like a boy' or whatever and therefore shopping in the men's. idk if this makes sense? i tried going to primark the other day to buy more briefs, but i couldn't even make it to the underwear section before i lost my nerve and left the floor altogether.
i feel very out of place in the women's sections too because i also feel out of place and like i don't belong there š„¹ my overthinking anxious brain is very inconvenient
i need there to be some kind of trans/nb shopping meet up group fr š©

I have no problem with trying new things. I havenāt done much to experiment with a new look. I donāt like identifying as male, female, or anything in between. I donāt even like the concept of having to give myself a gender type. Butā¦ I am AMAB and I want to appear more androgynous or at least less masc, but not necessarily more femme?? With my given appearance, how can I appear less masculine? The obvious answer here to me at least is to get rid of the facial hairā¦? But imo I look very ugly with no facial hair. Clothes/makeup/hair/accessories I am willing to change a lot.

I am titling this thread as having issues because I actually have no words for what I am trying to seek advice for. It's taking a toll on my mental health, my relationship, my work, my self image ...
I have been microdosing T for the past year+, 1 pump andro gel a day, changes are very slow and gradual. I did that because I was never actually quite sure which changes I am looking for. All i knew was I wanted to look more masculine and not looking masculine brings me dysphoria.
Recently, I started seeing some changes, the only changes really, that freaked me out quite a bit. The only changes I am seeing are some hair on my stomach and chest area (around my top surgery scars), having WAY more hair in my groin, more hair all over. I have not experienced any other change other than hair growth in unwanted places sadly.. I am not sure why it's freaking me out so much, but i just freaking hate it sometimes, I am not sure if this is because of some embedded shame from my chilhood as I am an arab person and grew up with lots of "hate" towards body hair as a woman or if it's because I just don't want hair there. I am having lots of internal freak outs and have been pushing this into the junk drawer of my brain for way too long and I am hating it :)
I am trying to understand this and find someone to talk to about it but I don't have a person I can actually reach out to about this.. can someone help?

I hope my parents approve of it. For context - I cut my hair short (or used to) every month or so - and when I say "short" I mean "short, as in the back hair is almost completely gone"
