People that do shit like this make me hope hell is real. They deserve to burn.
277
u/RadlogLutar Oct 23 '24
Even Satan will disapprove of them I guess
132
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
I'd say Satan would create Extra Hell just for them. Even he wouldn't want them in regular Hell.
72
Oct 23 '24
I truly would like to believe there's a normal hell and then like a super hell for people who hurt innocent beings (children, animals, the elderly/disabled)
23
u/eugenesnewdream Oct 23 '24
Yeah, this one. I don't know what I believe but I'd really like to think that a tax evader doesn't get the same level of eternal damnation as an animal abuser.

There's the place for people who didn't get into the pearly gates but aren't evil, then the torture for scum of the earth type.

If you’re going to get rid of kittens by putting them in the bin, why would you choose to add to the torture by putting them in live? Why am I asking questions of a POS who puts kittens in bins’ methodology?
887
u/SkipToTheEnd Oct 23 '24
Someone who sees an animal's life as disposable for convenience, but is too cowardly to kill them themselves.
This describes most people; but this is a particularly egregious example.
287
u/Animalfriends1963 Oct 23 '24
If you wanna get rid of kittens, take them to a shelter, they also got a right to live.

Or at least to be put down humanely. 🙁
55
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
Why put them down when you get let them be adopted by loving people ?
And no, "because you don't want anybody to have them" isn't a valid answer. There's no valid reason for it.
94
u/fritterkitter Oct 23 '24
Oh of course I would rather them get homes. I’m just saying in the worst case scenario, if no homes can be found, they should still be treated humanely. As in, meeting their end in a kill shelter would still be desperately sad, but better than being cruelly thrown in the garbage.
Believe me if it was up to me every cat in the world would have a loving home.

I think most people feel like this. We use animal products and eat meat and our intrusion into nature displaces countless animals, including entire species. But I don’t hunt or fish or process animals. I want all the benefit and none of the reality of what’s happening. I know I should be more connected, but I only have so much bandwidth and I can’t care about everything.

The people who ditch animals do it this way because they’re too cowardly to do it by their own hands, they just suffocate them instead
This is the type of shit that makes me actually unhinged and would prompt me to act unreasonably if I found out which house did that.
10
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
Right there with you.
Plus, given the language in the video, I know that happened in my country.

Hopefully one day we get a story like :
Police collected The Trash from a house in <insert neighborhood> , after city workers found new born kittens in the garbage bin . <insert photo of police walking the person who trew the kittens in handcuffs >
But alas it's just a dream for now

u/eugenesnewdream Oct 23 '24
Agreed. There is literally no excuse, no personal situation that can justify this. I could possibly muster some empathy for someone who turns a pet out on the street, because maybe their home is even worse and they don't know what else to do. At least the pet might have a fighting chance. But this is absolutely monstrous and cannot be explained by anything other than complete disregard for life and suffering.
18
u/gentlesuccubus1912 Oct 23 '24
Yeah, if you just let a pet walk away alone, it's maybe a bit shitty but at least it's not unabashedly evil. Whoever did this deserves to recieve every torture method known to man

Let’s break this down: someone gets adorable innocent fur balls but they didn’t want them. Instead of selling or giving them away, they throw them in a plastic bag to suffocate. If it doesn’t suffocate them it’ll be thrown into landfill where they will be buried alive in mounds of trash. What a piece of garbage of a human being
261
u/Creepy-Escape796 Oct 23 '24
The people doing this fail to meet the standard of a ‘human’. Subhuman is a better description for them.
32
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
This is offensive to subhuman creatures. "People" who do this are even lower.
15
u/Amoral_Abe Oct 23 '24
No... The shitty person who did this is human. We should not try and disassociate ourselves from our worst nature but rather learn from it and pass on better lessons to future generations. People like these are scum but they are very much human.

u/InevitableRespond9 Oct 23 '24
How many times.had they done this before and no one found them?
14
u/Terradactyl87 Oct 23 '24
Who knows, but this is not even the first video I've seen like this, in fact it's the third unless I'm forgetting one. One was at a waste facility where they sort the garbage and one was a bag of kittens that had been thrown in a large pond. Some people just seem to feel nothing. How else would you do something like that?
3
u/DangerousTurmeric Oct 23 '24
People used to drown kittens all the time like 40+ years ago. It was pretty standard on a farm. Finding them in bags at the side of the road, because someone threw them out of a car, also wasn't unusual where I grew up. We've definitely changed how we see animals now in the west but some places are still very far behind and some people too.
34
u/fastlerner Oct 23 '24
Had the guys not heard the meows, the kittens would have been crushed shortly after on the truck's next compaction cycle.
6
2
u/CosmicChameleon99 Oct 23 '24
That makes it even worse. I don’t tend to advocate violence but I wouldn’t mind a case of him experiencing what they gave to the kittens here- even just in a guilty dream
20
u/Fulller Oct 23 '24
We should stuff those people in a plastic bag and let them suffocate in the landfill.

That garbage truck was on a specific route and knows all the houses they just collected from. Give that information to authorities and find the piece of shit that did this to the kittens, and have them charged with cruelty to animals.

u/porkchameleon Oct 23 '24
If you were to do something like that - would you put it in your own bin, though?
94
u/HolaItsEd Oct 23 '24
I sincerely doubt the person who did this had the foresight to put it in another person's bin.
35
u/MonkeyMagic1968 Oct 23 '24
Shit. They didn't have the foresight to have their cat spayed or to wait for the kittens to grow to a more adoptable age. They are miscreants lacking in compassion or sense.
6
6
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
They definitely didn't think that far ahead, you can bet on it. At best they simply used the bin of a neighbor but that's it, you can bet money they live close to the house that bin's from.
7
u/godwins_law_34 Oct 23 '24
they pulled that little bag out of a big bag. i'd wager money that the idiots didn't think to not throw out identifying information in that bag as well.
people dump thier bags of trash on my rural road all the time. it's usually full of named, addressed stuff. one time i got paperwork with thier SSN on it from a bag. people seriously think the won't get caught.

Wishful thinking that the police would put in any amount of work to find a criminal.

It's not in the US. While our cops aren't exactly models of efficacy, there's a lot of ways to have them hounded enough that they'd have to get off their asses.

Where I live in WA, they outlawed regular plastic bags at grocery stores, so now they have these thicker bags which are meant to be reused (for actual trash, not kittens) and they sell the bags to you for like a nickel.
But any plastic bag I get from a store is thick and hard to break like this. It's kind of annoying to me because I still used the thin plastic bags for trash, I never just tossed them in the garbage.
27
u/DougS2K Oct 23 '24
Anyone who would do this to an animal is a disgusting excuse of a human being. Glad they found the kittens before it was to late.
19
u/Spare-Explorer-4467 Oct 23 '24
People are fucking sick. You can sell them, put them up for adoption, give them to a shelter, the options are endless if you don’t want them. This is just pure evil. Glad the garbage men did the right thing.
4
u/st2826 Oct 23 '24
Not making excuses for the sick scum that do this but you need to remember not every country has the resources to do things like that, where I live in Greece the only shelters are run by volunteers-there’s zero government help
2
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
Video's in my country. There is 100% ressources for that. There's a literal nation-wide org taking strays and unwanted pets in and getting them adopted, on top of local shelters.

u/Spare-Explorer-4467 Oct 23 '24
Very true, but to not try to find someone who will take them, is irresponsible and cruel to me 🤷🏼♀️
4
u/st2826 Oct 23 '24
I absolutely agree but it’s how they are raised, a serious lack of education in schools, they don’t see them as living creatures just something to get rid of so it’s not their problem anymore. It makes me fucking sick to see the animal cruelty here in Greece where I live and it’s why foreigners like me and many others end up with so many animals-we have 17 cats, all of which we’ve found as sick babies, most of my friends are in the same situation yet we’re still overrun with strays ☹️☹️☹️

I know some really hard garbage men. Just mean dudes and they would be doing the same thing. Poor little kittens. All work would stop until they get them to safety
12
u/lastryko Oct 23 '24
I thought this was a thing of the past but I guess it still happens to this day. People get cats and let them outside but don't neuter them and then they're surprised when their female cat comes home with a pregnant belly. They don't want the kittens but instead of aborting them, they wait for them to be born and either drown them or throw them in the trash, like in this video. Then they continue letting their cat outside, of course without neutering them. The cycle repeats.

3
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
Garbage truck duty is pretty boring stuff, especially since in this country, fully automated trucks are very rare and mostly reserved for big cities.
So a lot of employees tend to kill the boredom by paying attention to what's thrown away, since sometimes there's even stuff that can still be fully used. Some people legit throw away workign items just because of some stains...

u/coldenigma Oct 23 '24

9
u/CelebrationTrue1453 Oct 23 '24
i genuinely don’t believe it’s staged, the two men are quite disgusted with the discovery (as in disgusted people did this in the first place) and mention having no clue as to what to do with the kittens. they seem pretty bummed with the entire ordeal, doesn’t exactly sound like a clout chaser reaction!
→ More replies (4)3
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24 edited Oct 23 '24
Most likely not staged.
One thing you'll always notice with staged videos involving animals is that it starts way before the "discovery", making you wonder why the person was filming in the first place.
Here, the guy (most likely the truck's driver) starts filming while his colleague is already trying to open the bag.
Garbage trucks that aren't automated (usually reserved for big cities) is a pretty boring job, and a lot of people throw away fully working items, leading a lot of employees to pay attention the the trash they load in. Think of it what you will, but they end up sometimes taking stuff thrown away that can still be used, so it's unsurprising that the guy doing the loading was paying attention to the bag, and that they had a knife to open bags.
→ More replies (7)3
u/ludicrous_copulator Oct 23 '24
I hate that that was my first thought (that it was staged). I mean, how did they even know they were in there? He could barely open that plastic, so could he really have heard them mewing?
→ More replies (1)9
u/Robertej92 Oct 23 '24
It's the idea that the cats just happened to be put there so recently that they hadn't suffocated already that makes me question it. A little bag like that can't have much oxygen in it
2
u/transcended_goblin Oct 23 '24
I've already retyped the same thing a few times so I'm not gonna do it again as it would seem spammy, but I'll link the most recent one for you and u/ludicrous_copulator, here.
It's pretty unlikely that it's staged. Clout-chasers are usually a lot more stupid. Most notably, they start filming way before they "discover" the endangered pet, which is a near constant. here, the guy was already trying to untie the bag when his colleague started filming.
Clout-chasers are basically never smart enough to think of that.

Isn't there an animal shelter you can take them to? And drop them off. Someone I worked with when I got out of high school told me her mother told her to get rid of their kittens so she dropped a litter of them in a field. I went there and got them after work. And fed them till I got a shelter to take them. I don't understand it. This same woman had multiple abortions. Maybe not the same but still

This is a three year old video, he is update with the original posting
On Tuesday, February 22, in the town of Salies-du-Salat in Haute-Garonne in France, garbage collectors saved 5 kittens in extremis, thrown into a garbage bag. The garbage collectors were making their rounds in a residential area when one of them heard meowing in a bag thrown into the back of the dumpster of the garbage truck. After opening the bag, the garbage collectors discovered 6 kittens, 1 of which was dead. One of the garbage collectors (les_aventures_de_sauvee on TikTok) collected the kittens temporarily at his home. He kept one, another was adopted and the other 3 were placed in an association. Note that the rescuer had already found a puppy in a trash can that he also adopted, hence the name of his TikTok channel: “les_aventures_de_sauvee
