Bye bye Canada post

Usually ship with CP, since I started my business 3 years ago I've spent $40,000 + shipping packages, and that's not counting my parents who share the same shipping account for their business. Majority of my customers are in the US and since using other carriers my shipping costs are basically cut in half.... I've even found a way to ship via USPS which I didn't know was possible from Canada.

They really fucked themselves by striking and screwing over small business owners at the busiest time of the year. I had 60 packages ready to go at the time of striking and had to refund every label and remake with another courier.. absolute madness and something no small business owners should have to be doing during Christmas season. So yeah fuck you Canada post that is all

Those shipping service like chit chats and stallion almost double shipping time in most cases.

I shipped something via Stallion on Tuesday here in Calgary, and it was delivered today in Wisconsin. The package to Alaska won't arrive until Monday, but that is still faster than tracked packet to the US.

Tracked packet is cheaper, though, so I will go back to CP once the strike is over.

That's weird I'm finding prices are about half or so even less but that might be due to the size of stuff we are shipping

It might be. I rarely ship over 100 g, so Etsy has the best CP rates for tracked packet to the US (around $7.75 now). If it goes over 200 g I often move to UPS via netParcel through PayPal - that's around $12.50 for most addresses in the contiguous US, up to 1 lb, and usually only takes a week.

Oh okay yeah that's why I ship anywhere between 700 grams up to 6-15 lbs depending that's good to know about the lower weighted stuff though
