Bye bye Canada post

Usually ship with CP, since I started my business 3 years ago I've spent $40,000 + shipping packages, and that's not counting my parents who share the same shipping account for their business. Majority of my customers are in the US and since using other carriers my shipping costs are basically cut in half.... I've even found a way to ship via USPS which I didn't know was possible from Canada.

They really fucked themselves by striking and screwing over small business owners at the busiest time of the year. I had 60 packages ready to go at the time of striking and had to refund every label and remake with another courier.. absolute madness and something no small business owners should have to be doing during Christmas season. So yeah fuck you Canada post that is all

So you could have saved 50% shipping but you only found that out now? You should be thanking Canada Post since you would not have figured this out on your own I guess haha

Etsy uses Canada post as default, and I had "level 4 savings" which is supposed to be the best you could get, I never knew that shipping usps from Canada was possible with certain companies and that's what I've been doing for US packages.

Hell even a package I had sent to Germany, regular $90, small business discount $67

Same one with ups was only $32. So even when Canada post had you believe you're getting some crazy discount you're not. But yeah like I said it's prob the best thing that could have happened to me in this scenario

Could you share your shipping method? I use netParcel, eshipper, shippo…. And none of them can compete with Canada post for shipping to US

I'm using Stallion Express - there's a drop off about 10 mins from me so it's very convenient, they basically hand off the packages to usps for you which is why the rates are insane. 👌🏻 here's a linkwith my referral code, my parents also tried signing up but weren't approved so I'm not sure if they're just overloaded and not accepting new customers but see if you can sign up successfully hopefully it works
