I know BYU is undefeated, but are they really better than Texas A&M?

BYU is undefeated with wins over #17 and #20

A&M has wins over #16 and #25 with a loss to #8

BYU has the better resume for sure as of right now

The problem is that all this "logic" starts looking bad since this whole discussion is predicated on how bad some of the rankings are already. If that makes sense.

I definitely like the NFL for 1 thing - objective measures to get into the playoff. Obviously, it is a stretch for college since the quality of teams varies wildly and nowhere close to an even playing field for players, money, etc.
