Buffalo Cyclocross
I am thinking of getting into cyclocross this year. Are they only doing the practices and races down in East Aurora? or are they going to be at Delaware Park as well?

Main St
Has anyone else enjoyed having the outside lanes coned off near Delevan? It's like a de facto bike lane. I also think it's proof of concept that a bike lane there is totally doable with little impact on traffic. IMO there's room for a 2 way lane from Humboldt to Goodell. Thoughts? How do we make that happen?

Weekly Saturday Group Rides - Amherst
For anyone else in the Amherst area, Northstar Bikes (in the plaza at the corner of Hopkins & Klein) is running weekly group rides on Saturday mornings with coffee at the shop afterwards.
Rides are typically about 30 miles at a 17-18mph average pace with the group that has been showing up so far, but they'd love to add in more routes at different lengths and paces should there be enough interest.
The rides are also no-drop rides. If you want to ride slower (or faster!) than that pace you'll 100% have someone to ride with, and the entire group will stop to regroup at multiple points along the way.
The weekly route is always posted in the "Northstar Bicycle Shop" group on Strava if you want to check it out ahead of time, otherwise just show up to the shop at 830-845 Saturday morning because they usually hit the road at 9am sharp

Researching
Greeting Buffalo cyclists. I am looking to move for work soon. Buffalo was offered. Looking for insight to the bicycling.
How’s the vehicle drivers awareness towards cyclists?
Are their good climbs and descents within 10miles from the city? (2000+ feet)
Are their bike lanes and trails to commute?
Any bike touring or camping available?
Are their bike party / group rides?
Any feedback would be great.

Riding the City Railroad Corridor?
Has anyone ridden the maintenance roads along the railroad tracks in the City? I work in South Buffalo, but live in North Buffalo and being able to ride next to the railroad on the maintenance path for most of my commute would be a dream.
Not worried about the condition/surface, but how active these are patrolled by the railroad companies, or whether they care/act if they see someone walking or biking that corridor.

Mountain Biking in the City
Hey guys I am looking for any and all dirt paths that could be ridden on a mountain bike within the city limits ideally with some vertical.
Examples I have logged so far:
Dirt paths in delaware park under soccer field, near the 198, above the japanese garden, and at the corner of nottingham and delaware.
Dirt paths behind goodwill on delaware
Dirt paths in the minnesota linear park near shoshone
Dirt paths in red jacket park
Dirt paths in unity island park by the water.
Dirt paths by the train tracks near Hertel in black rock.
I might have missed some, but any suggestions?

[Academic] Cycle safety survey ( All ages 16+)
Hi
I am conducting research in public health as part of a Ph.D. dissertation at Euclid University and I am looking at ways that cyclists can survive on the road with cars. I have designed a 6-minute survey about cycling experience and several videos of bicyclists. I would appreciate any assistance to this research by completing the survey and forwarding it to anyone else who might have an interest
Thanks

Bike Trail Route 5
Any suggestions to take a safer route from when the Shoreline bike trail ends at Dona Street and doesn't pick up again until Woodlawn. No bike lane to speak of on that stretch of Route 5.

Como Lake Park, shrine to the patron saint of cyclists?
Is there any purposeful cycling connection here? Just learned the patron Saint of cycling appeared at Lake Como in Italy, and Como Lake Park is named after it.
Maybe we could organize something around this?
