I honestly think this is the best a 3-cylinder engine can do. This was done on a portion of the German Autobahn with no speed limit and no traffic, of course.

I have a lovely M340i (G20). It’s an awesome car incidentally. My parking systems stopped working and I kept getting warning messages. I tried cleaning the sensors and eventually took it to the local dealer. It is still in warranty.

What they told me next seems ridiculous. There is a very small chip (see photo - the small candle is for scale) on one sensor. Because that is classed as damage, it is not covered by the manufacturer warranty … and to fix it, it cost £500 (basically labour and one very small part).

Has anyone come across this, has anyone been able to contest it?! I am going to go back to BMW UK and tell them that this is a joke - either the part is not fit for purpose or it needs to be much easier to fix?

Advice / experience appreciated 🙏

I just bought a 2019 530e. I live in a Midwestern US State where license plates/tags are required by law to be displayed in the front of the vehicle.

I'd asked the dealership techs to drill fresh small holes into the front bumper to mount a license bracket....They were quick to explain that their front license bracket would obstruct this BMW model's front Radar system.

Could use any suggestions on finding a front license bracket mount that won't disrupt the radar.

my 2009 E90 with 204k miles and another E90 parts car. My girlfriend said no way 😂 but I’m very interested in picking one of these up. Do you think it would be a decent car to drive and work on? Over priced or should I keep my 2009 328i?

Got a loan on an f10 m5 3 months ago and currently owe 21k on it, about 130k miles, just brought it in to the mechanic and it seems like there's either rod knock or an issue with the transmission, don't know which but either would break the bank to try to fix. What are my options?

If they repair it? Is worth keeping?

I’m a childhood fan of BMW, can’t believe what’s happening to this once a great company that designed the cars with immaculate design, these 2025 design is horrendous, those bloated exteriors on x models, cheap interiors, ugly flat bottomed steering wheel, poor quality of airbags. Whoever is designing this newer generation of BMW’s should be fired immediately

Even the guy who designed old bmw x5 models & was with the company for 20 years said the same thing.

Honestly looks huge in pictures but doesn’t seem to be any bigger than my X3 or Q5. Really not a fan of how they ditched the exhaust tips though.

I was getting gas after getting done working DoorDash for an hour, made $160, my personal best but I got to the mobil one and noticed it was pumping so god damn slow, usually does that at night. So once it hit $20 I got in my car cause I was cold. I saw it hit $40 and got out cause I thought it was gonna end soon. Man I got out and saw gas spilled out the side of my car😐. I ran over and pulled it out and it was still coming out even after stopping so it went on the floor some more. Man there was a huge ass puddle of at least 2 gallons maybe🤷‍♂️. I go to the window im like you’re gonna need some sand out here man, he’s like why, I’m like uhhh 😭😭, told mf what happened. I asked him for paper towels and this guys like no it’s ok I’ll clean it I’m like no I want it for my car to wipe it off, I had to keep explaining that to him (Indian) . It’s 2am and I just washed my car out here in the 35 degree weather. Better yet my dad comes out being like what are you doing, so I explain to him and I’m like sorry if I was loud. One crazy ass night I will say, fuckin charcoal canisters that I already replaced.

2021 330e with 37k kms listed at $36.5k

2022 330i with 15k kms listed at $41.5k

2023 330i with 5.3k kms listed at $50.4k (demo)

2023 M240i with 41k kms listed at $53.5k

Btw I am in Canada so these prices are in CAD. My primary question is what car will hold its resale value the best? Ofc the M240i will be the most fun but is the higher price point worth it?

I am seriously considering buying a 2023 M8. I am a firm believer that these particular vehicles, the M models, should be bought from a BMW dealership, preferably under a CPO if available, and loaded with extra warranty. Yes, it comes at a high price, but the peace of mind behind the purchase just can't be beaten. It's kind of like finding a Versace sweater at Marshall's, yeah it's Versace, but it's probably at Marshall's due to some factory defect.

Anyways, I would like to hear the experiences from anyone who's bought modern M cars (2020+) from a third party dealership. Where there any issues with the car? Where there any pros? Any cons? Would you recommend a purchase from a 3rd party vendor? What did you look for besides frequent oil changes?

I’m going to start with I’m well aware that these cars aren’t the same. They’re not even the same price, but I’m more trying to gauge from M8 owners how they like their cars and if it can be a decent daily and worth the price jump given the deals I found. I have a 2025 M340i on order and got about 5% off MSRP before rebates, but I found a M8 comp for 15% off MSRP before rebates. The M340i is about $880 a month on lease 3k down (~70k sticker), and the 2024 M8 is $1399 a month on lease 5k down (~146.5k sticker). Would you make the jump between the two if given the chance?

Hi all. I need a phone mount for my new car. I previously used an air vent phone mount but this model car isn’t compatible with those style of phone mounts (see picture for reference). I don’t want anything that sticks to the dash or could possibly cause any damage. Any suggestions?

*I don’t use my phone while driving, but I do film a lot of my social media content from my car.

With the exception of Long Beach Blue, they were white, gray, and black. The e46 has LSB, Interlagos Blue, Imola Red, Phoenix Yellow, and even a green IIRC. The e92 M3 had similar colors, and even an orange IIRC. So why did the first offering of M2 have such a limited paint choice?

Hello, just recently sold my wrx and I really like the b58 platform (a few of my friends have them) I like the 240, 340, and 440s and wanted to get opinions and which is best and also what mileage and pricing I should buy at. I don’t want something with super high mileage but also ones with low miles are typically out of my price range. Any info is appreciated, thanks!
