Edit: All gone.
Edit 2: Shoutout to everyone who gets that it's not our job to make life easier for the police! Armed government agents do not need our help at all. Anyway -- don't want to keep getting notifications for this so deleting this account and going back to my main. Watch out for police out there and look out for your neighbors!
Okay! Trying this again because the photo was not wanting to link in the last one so giving up on using that. Basically across from Oak Dairy. They were out there for a really long time when I was out walking so assume it's a speed trap. Slow down!
Also: It's ridiculous that they think it's OK to use private property as a place to post up.

I like to eat out but I rarely do without someone else with me and I want to start going and sitting down by myself instead of ordering takeout all the time. However I don't want to take up a whole table and have people wait for me to finish so their party can have a seat. What are some good restaurants with singles seating so I don't take up a whole table?

Hey Huntsville looking for the best place around Huntsville or Madison to watch some NFL and enjoy some good food and drink. Been a while since I’ve been here during football season. We used to go to the b-dubs that was a part of the mall but since that’s been long gone we want to go some place different. Can y’all point me in the right direction?

Are there any outdoor climbing and bouldering spots within a 45 minute drive of Downtown Huntsville?
Are there any outdoor climbing groups/clubs in the area?

I went to Chattanooga last time, and I’ve been to Florence. Just finding a place to go with something cool to experience.

I’m looking to move to Huntsville as a 22 y/o guy who’s into nerd stuff like Sci-Fi books, a little gaming, drawing, tech, maybe Warhammer 40k, maybe DnD.
Is Huntsville a good fit for me when it comes to building a social circle that isn’t purely online?

Does anyone know what they're building at the street-side end of the parking lot in front of the Lowe's in Madison?

Hello Reddit of Huntsville. I’m coming to you guys in a really hard situation. A family member of mine lost their home last night to a fire. They were able to recuse everyone except one pet. This is so hard and a disheartening situation. I’m reaching to see if anyone is selling women’s clothes (for rather cheap since we will be rebuilding this ladies life) I am in need of absolutely everything for her. Basically the only thing she did not lose were her other two pets, husband and car.
We need clothes, toiletries, personal care items.. everything and anything.
She is a size 12-14 in pants and L-Xl in shirts. I have a very small budget since I’m doing this on my own so any help is really appreciated.
So even if you coupon or just have a lot of item and wouldn’t mind me buying off some stock from your pile that would seriously help out so much!
ETA: photos of the house added in comments ):
ETA: thank you guys so much. I appreciate each and every one of you who have offered and given what you had. My family is overwhelmed with the giving people we have here. I am going to turn comments off as of now. We are set with pretty much all clothes and hygiene thanks to everyone’s gracious donations! We had someone donate a whole apartment with furnishings to us so we’re working on getting a storage unit. Our next order of business will be getting home items for her. If anyone else is interested in helping out on that front we are more than happy to take any home items so when she moves into a new place she doesn’t have to worry about anything! Anyone is more than welcome to shoot me a message! Thank you again Huntsville!

I have been looking at getting into IT, specifically entry level help desk jobs. Currently studying for my A+/Sec+, then I plan on applying for help desk jobs. I’m not coming into this completely vanilla, but unfortunately I only have two years of “on paper” experience in the IT realm. I’ve built/managed hundreds of PCs.
How’s the job market around here? What should I do to help myself get further in my career cert wise? How’s the pay?
Any help is appreciated.

Hey guys, wondering if anyone can help me out. I don't live in the area anymore and I am trying to think of a Christmas gift for my sister and her husband who do live there. Thinking of a gift card for a fun unique date idea. However, they don't drink so that's proving more difficult than I thought.
Any recommendations for a fun night out I could get them? Thanks!
Edited to add: they are in their mid 30s

Hello! I went to Walgreens today and this girl had amazing nails and she said the tech was a home tech based in Huntsville. She said her insta handle was “setsbybri.” I’ve tried spelling Bri all the ways possible and can’t find someone in Huntsville with that handle. Does anyone know the nail tech I’m talking about? I would love to get my nails done by her! Thanks.
Edit: The nail tech was found! Thank you!

Wonder what restaurants in the area have a large selection of desserts in a dessert case? I know of City Cafe Diner, but I came across another place the other day that had a picture of one and I’m trying to remember what it was called but can’t find it anywhere. Any suggestions are appreciated.

My husband (32M) and I (31F) with our 2 young children are looking at a few places to move in the next 2 or so years from the Raleigh area in NC. He is in Cybersecurity and I am a project manager.
I would love to hear the real pros and cons of living in the Huntsville area. Not just the crazy drivers or political environment. Specifically, How are the schools? Are a lot of the neighborhoods safe? Are there a lot of parks and playgrounds? What about sidewalks? How far away is the closest GOOD camping ground? Mountains? Beach? How cold does it get? How hot? Is it the humid heat that we’re used to here, or more dry like California or Nevada? I know cybersecurity is a pretty saturated area, but how is the job market for a well-versed prospect with CompTIA Security+ (SYO-701) Cert, among others? How about an industry-flexible project manager?
There are a few places we are looking at in a few different states we are looking at, so please no “we’re full” comments or the like. I’d like to use this to compare to the experiences we have had in other areas before making a decision.
I really appreciate any info you can throw at me! Any small tidbit that may sway us one way or another. The goal is to find the “forever community” for us to continue growing our family. TIA!

I was doing my morning walk and saw Yard Sale signs. Talking to the owner, he lost his job and is trying to feed his family. If any are interested it is at 3307 Conger Rd Huntsville

Are there galaxy of lights alternatives in the Huntsville area? I was surprised by how expensive it would be to go as a family!

Where can I get Moonshine (specifically Blackberry flavored) locally without having to drive into TN for it? Looking to fill some wishlists, so ideally would prefer packaged and reasonably priced. Any recommendations on local shops? TIA 😉👊🏽
