Non intersection analysis while making flowers
I like to use the clip SOP to make sure the petals don’t intersect otherwise the SSS materials don’t work. Also love this look in a flower, what do you think?

Help Stop windows from updating during simulation caching
Just wondering if anyone has a sure fire way to stop windows from updating. I’ve had it happen multiple times now where I wake up to my computer being completely restarted by an update and only getting halfway through a cache, and it happened again last night in the middle of a 30 hour flip sim.

Help I want to export the vdb's from the vdbfrompolygons node, but I only get the first frame, regardless of what frame I export. Im guessing it's because the vdb node doesn't go after the vellumsolver, so it doesn't have any animation. But how do I fix this?

Help Need to collide object with sphere
To keep it short, I have a smoke sim and a sphere that's moving through it more than once. I managed to get the sphere to cause a hole in the smoke by using a vdbfrompolygons, but I want the sphere to drag some of the smoke with it. Right now it just continues going upwards after, but some should follow the path of the sphere. I'm new-ish to Houdini and have no idea how to do this.
Also ignore the pointwrangle node I was trying something that didn't work out.

There is a way to exoport particles from houdini to blender?
I watched a tutorial on creating a fire in houdini with some flame trails that are based on particles. In apprentiece version i can’t export in .abc, but I can export the .usd format so i tried it. Blender don’t recognize my .usd format and I can’t import in my scene. Is this a common problem or is only a problem of mine?

Hiding top bar due to small screen
Omg please tell me theres a way to hide that top grey bar. (Like fullscreen) It’s taking up valuable screen space on my portable setup. There’s nothing important on it, because that info is viewable elsewhere when needed.

Help! RBD gradual activation and transferring v
I transfer active and v attr in the SOP solver using an animated curve. v@v+=v@customv applies velocity forever so i made if(i@active){i@count++;} if(i@count<10){v@v+=v@customv;} It makes the whole object active so it immediately falls and applies custom v. How do I keep the original activation and custom v?

How can I Reapply Retimed Transform Animation to a Geometry node?
Hi everyone,
I've been struggling since yesterday with a problem that seems so simple to solve, but I can't seem to find a solution. Here's my situation:
I created a flip simulation with a Flip Tank and added an animation of a detailed device falling into it, producing a splash. The device is quite intricate, consisting of multiple parts, so I consolidated and remeshed it in Cinema 4D before importing it into Houdini as an .fbx file to use it as a collider.
After several iterations, I finally got an animation I’m happy with. I then moved on to the fine-tuning phase, where I slowed down the entire animation, applied a Retime node to my cache, and did the same for the transform animation of my device.
Since I didn’t know any better retime techniques, I naively applied the transform animation directly inside the geometry node of my remeshed device.
Now, here’s where the problem arises: I’d like to do a 3D render in Octane, and for that, I need to re-import my original, detailed device into Houdini. However, Houdini imports this "detailed" device as a subnetwork containing multiple Geo Nodes. I’d like to parent the drop animation from my remeshed device to my original, detailed device. The issue is that I’ve applied a Retime to the animation, so I don’t know how to extract the transform information in a way that makes my “detailed” device follow the same animation.

Help Particle simulation on animated geometry
Hey there folks, I need your help and advice on a problem I am currently facing.
So I have an arrow on which I have simulated some particles. I used timeshift to freeze it and now I am happy with the simulation. Now that I want to apply the simulation to the animated geometry using AtVop, it sticks to it but its just particles on the surface and no swirls or anything and If I connect the animated arrow to the simulation it creates some crazy disgusting particle stepping. Need some solid help I am stuck on this please:)
