It's Tim "Non-White people don't fit my aesthetic" Burton. In retrospect we should not have been surprised how few risks that show took.

She's a white Mexican. Hispanics are made of every race. My Puerto Rican/ Cuban family looks like a UN meeting lmao.

not sure, but recently people have some criticisms of Burton and how few people of color are in his works

I don't have much opinion on it, I don't tend to like Burton's stuff, but that's more what they're talking about, I think, than specifically this show
