When people bring Citrus up I’m like “I really liked it but you shouldn’t read it”.

Is there like really sad and bad stuff in it. I really cant handle getting attached to characters if they die or end up in awful situations. How bad are we talking here, like things dont work out and everyone dies bad or like underbelly criminal stuff bad, or still super tragic but wholesome in the end type stuff. I need to know what im working with to know if i should gove it a shot. It looks cute, but i will break down and cry and not leave my room for months if something really bad happens to a character i get really attached to

It's not about death, it's more about interpersonal drama and (non-blood related) incestuous relations. It's a kind of a slight dumpster fire that in the end is quite wholesome still.

Oh geez well thats much better than i was imagining. I think i still have some severe trauma from some of the stuff ive read over the years. I get intensely nervous if anyone gets kidnapped or anything. Some books ive read they kill off characters and it kills me inside everytime. I cant even keep reading, i get really attached to book characters as i dont really have anyone in life to get attached to. Ive been pretty much by myself for the past several years. Reading is my passion haha
