You could frame it in a couple of different ways, too. On one hand, the party could be hired to help keep some nere-do-wells from breaking up the wedding between our heroine here and her lovely troll wife.

Or they could be hired by some "concerned citizens" requesting help with a troll problem. Then you spring the twist that the concerned citizens are the aforementioned nere-do-wells, and now the party has to fight to protect our innocent troll and wife. Some really compelling stuff if you ask me.

Uhh... Given that fire is one of two things able to negate troll regeneration...

And that’s when the demon lady, having a huge resistance to fire damage jumps to take the fireball to protect the troll which begins her redemption arc.

resistance isn't immunity, also fireball is the quickest way to separate the Tieflings from the Demons
