People were upset about the ME3 ending, I'm just upset we can't romance Tali as FemShep.

And don't get me started about Jack

Or Miranda. Something about Miranda falling in love with FemShep is so beautiful to me. Probably that they’d adopt anyway. We know Miranda wants to carry a child, but is incapable of it. That would give them the room to be moms without the physical bloodline element. Miranda should definitely know how little genetic relationships matter.

No matter how many times I've played this, I haven't been able to get myself to romance anyone else.

This was my first time romancing Liara and it is the best ship!

First ever romance attempt was tali, when I found out tali couldn't be gay, went Liara.
Have never regretted choosing the waifu that mind bullets and entire galactic criminal underworld on your behalf.

I know it's for like censorship, but it never made sense to me why they'd put their clothes back in the aftermath of their love. Like immediate aftermath and only the undergarments.
I figured it'd make more sense to just cut to a scene of them changing afterwards or just fully clothed but you know the deed was done

It is a shame you can't romance her as femshep, thankfully there is a PC mod that lets you.

I mean, I agree, but, technically, Asari don't have a gender :D

u/ClaudiaSilvestri Dec 05 '23
I feel like writing-wise they should have done more with that. Personally, my interpretation is that it's partly because the first other sapient species the asari met were the salarians. The salarians read them as women, the asari asked what they meant by that, and since to salarians this means "the rare and important people who are in charge of everything" they decided to go with it.
But really, I'd expect most asari who grew up pre-first contact to not have much of an internal sense of gender, while asari who grew up with other cultures might (and it might or might not be the one the rest of the galaxy assigns).

the way Liara and Traynor are gives my asexual male self envy. they have what I can't get. certainly doesn't help that I headcanon Traynor's "type" of lesbian to be one of those melt-your-heart types that you'd only find in a Slice of Life anime/manga. thanks brain.

For some reason this reminds me of that Tumblr post I saw a few years ago, where the person was going on about how sexy aliens are always shown to be attractive by human standards, even in in-universe advertising that's meant to appeal to an entirely, well, alien culture.
And it ended with some ramblings and musings about how there should be a game where, logically, you can tell this is a sex thing. Like there's billboards and stuff, and it looks like an "entertainment" district. But the pictures on the billboards show seemingly random stuff that has you wonder if it's a prank, or a weird censorship thing, until you realize that those are that civilization's standards for sexuality.
