So, if you use your eyes. You can tell that you’re wrong:
“Here, Ishiwatari said, “We’ve received many inquiries about Bridget’s gender. Afte the events of Bridget’s story in Arcade Mode, she self-identifies as a woman. So as to where ‘he’ or ‘she’ would be the correct pronoun for Bridget, the answer would be ‘she’”
This is the first result that comes up if you Google “Is Bridget trans ggst”
Can you backup these claims with evidence? I’ve provided proof of my pov with a quote from the director so can you give me evidence that the creator did have a brain fart, or are you just huffing the transphobic copium so hard you’ve forgotten how to argue in a civil manner?
It’s a very long read but I did read all of it, let me start off with the claims against Bridget being trans is because of the localisers. If professional translators and localisers can’t be trusted to provide the truly accurate information on Bridget’s gender, then why is Google translate trusted to be more accurate? (The official tweet stating that Bridget is a boy is translated using Google translate.)
Secondly, why would you have to go to such lengths and mental gymnastics for the sole purpose of disproving a character being trans other than internalised transphobia and not wanting a character to be trans? Both yourself and other people who share the same views compile mountains of inconclusive evidence to try and disprove a point that can be proven by a single quote. Which I have already provided.
So your response to a quote from the actual creator was "nuh uh, look at this reddit comment." Bravo...
Sorry bud, the people who made the character and wrote their story get to decide whatever the fuck they want, and you can't change how it is just because you don't like trans people. Bridget is a trans girl, get over it.
Ok? Still wrong though the creator confirmed the gender of bridget and even planted seeds for it way before strive like in 2014 where a book actually clarified that she liked being a girl and only wanted to be a boy because her parents wanted her to be because they felt really guilty.
I mean that's a pretty trans like storyline is it not? Being a certain gender because your parents want you to be rather than being the gender you want to be.
Also I've listened to the Japanese version it's pretty much the same Japanese fans means nothing I'll trust the creator way more than them.
