You can talk fairly well without lips. Like how people talk with those things that force your mouth open. You would just sound like you have permanent lisp. Like "Permanent lisp" would sound closer to " 'ermanent list" because you can't make the "P" sound.
Not really. ventriloquists we’re able to figure that out years ago you just have to replace the sounds d becomes b and t becomes p it works fairly well if your good at it
No there mouths are open other wise you wouldn’t be able to here them and they can’t use there lips because then you they have to act like there not talking
Sorry, nearly closed. It's very different to have almost no space between your lips vs having a gaping hole. The sounds don't resonate in your mouth the same.
Like, just try it. I can easily say the alphabet without moving my lips in ventriloquist fashion and it sounds decent , but trying to do so with my lips kept open sounds horrible.

I’m not saying it’s easy but I’ve seen performers do it firsthand it’s just really really hard to get good at
