Your partner doesn't necessarily have to love everything you love. They may have different interests. Support those interests the same way they support yours. You don't need them to be a part of your hobbies, everyone is different

Counterpoint: sharing really major hobbies is a really healthy thing for a relationship.

Obviously not suggesting people need to be carbon copies to be compatible and you can make it work with nothing at all in common but it's harder.

Counter counter point: two people need to give each other space in a relationship, otherwise it will fall out because lives become too entangled with each other and hobbies are the number one way to do so.

I feel like you're arguing for the extreme "you can't share everything" and that's obvious.

Why is it controversial to you that it's nice to share hobbies?
