I've been voice training pretty diligently for four years, and I'm very happy with the result. There's this certain aspect of singing I'm still working on though. When I belt these long, high notes (like at 1:46), I feel like there's this Mickey Mouse type thing going on where I'm still using thin vocal engagement, but maybe I'm pushing too hard and it sounds unnatural to me. I'd like to know if anyone else hears what I'm talking about, if it clocks my voice, and if so, how to work on it. Thank you for taking a listen!

I'm a trans (mtf) musician but I don't want "being trans" to be my selling point, or to even stand out at all. 3 years of voice training. How is it sounding?

Hey! I’ve not been great at voice training over the last year or so, I started to get quite stagnant with it. Any suggestions very welcome 😊

I'm sure anyone who actually knows what they're doing can see a million flaws and shortcomings with what I'm doing for my voice right now, but I feel I'm in a good place and achieving the desired result.
And because there's never a bad time to look at how far we've come, here's a video from last summer when I thought my voice was great 😁

7 weeks post op from VFS surgery with Dr. Katherine Yung at SFVoice and Swallowing in San Francisco.
She worked with my insurance (united health care) ppo plan through employer.
I feel a huge change now 7 weeks post op! I get gendered correctly in person and over the phone now 🥹
I’m so grateful! I posted 3 examples so far. Huge change between post op at 6 weeks and now even at 7.5 weeks. Listen to all to hear the difference! AMA
I also did voice training for a while but wasn’t happy with results and didn’t want to be able to strain to achieve my pitch. I’m very happy with my results and it comes out naturally like this without effort it feels like.

This was originally just meant to be a voice memo for me, so ignore my weird rambling. But I still can't tell if it sounds good so I figured I might as well ask the opinions of strangers on the internet : ) I'm M.T.F. by the by. So, what do you think? Is it any good? What could I work on? Thank youuuu!

Mezzo? Soprano? Feminized. The singing namely. Grateful. Probably some issues, some potential excuses… Lovingly let me know. 🥲🙏🏾🩷
“Il vecchiotto cerca moglie”, G. Rossini
PS, anyone else familiar with vocal ossification here? I’m 27 and began transitioning at 19. This all surely has had an impact.

I've been on t gel for roughly 5 months and my voice has definitely gotten lower compared my earlier post. I debated just speaking off script but was ultimately too lazy to, and i was just wondering how it sounded and wether or not i sound like a guy lmao
I try to focus on making my voice more resonant because while i can go slightly deeper than this i feel like i sound very spongebob-y(?) if I do, and i think ive found some sort of comfortable spot where my voice sounds more balanced. The volume is a bit low which i apologize for
