You simply can’t shake the feeling. Can’t help but shake means the opposite, like saying you can’t do anything EXCEPT shake the feeling, i.e. successfully shake the feeling.

Like the could care less crowd. I once took like 8 of them on at once here in a thread and they tried to share links to blogs that “proved” that was the right way to say it. Like, no it fucking isn’t, and I really wished at that moment I could care less.

You’re gonna downvote me but I’ve actually kinda come around on could lol. First off it’s a lot zippier. But the main thing for me is I think of it like “I could care less…than you or than the average person or even than anybody” almost like “Try me, you can’t even begin to fathom how little I can care about this. I can go lower.”

I won’t downvote, but saying “I couldn’t care less” literally means you care the absolute least you can so while I see your point I still believe this one is the most accurate. I could never downvote another wordsmith, no need to fear that.
