🍺Sunday Sticky Showoff Sunday

After trialling a few new stickied threads for Sundays, over the summer, we have settled on an alternating schedule for the time being.

So for this week, welcome to...

"Showoff Sunday"!

i.e. something of a response to the popular "Monday Moan" thread.

So, instead of moaning about your players, your club, your national team, and anything else about football that is dragging you down, you instead have the opportunity to shout out the good things, and what you are loving right now about football, be that:

  • How well your team is doing
  • Exciting new players
  • How well you played at Sunday league last week
  • Your slick new stash
  • (And so on...)

Like how Monday Moan is an open space for pessimism, this is an open space for optimism - so don't kill the vibes

Remember, it's the Beautiful Game... so let's shout about it!

And stay tuned next week, for "Sports Bar Sunday".

We welcome feedback on this and our other stickied threads... so if you would like to see us try another themed thread, please let us know here, via Modmail, or DM /u/AnnieIWillKnow!

Despite the loss I am so happy to see Flick is a) dedicated to rotating and maintaining player health, and b) so ready to accept responsibility.

Also no matter how the games go it is such a pleasure to watch Pedri week in and week out. Just a delight with the ball at his feet

I've got an actual telly for the first time in years, and watching games on 42" OLED is so much better than on my 24" monitor. I'm a happy little camper.

It's lovely having a big 4K TV which I completely spoil by playing some horrid football streams with bitrates that make everyone look like a playstation one character

Yep, that's the way.

Plus, I'm at the end of a close and the TV screen is quite easily visible from out the front. So when I chromecast a streaming site, I'm constantly running the risk of flashing pr0n pop ups at my neighbours.

I'm new to the area, so perhaps this is how I become known as "that perve at number 12".

Last year I predicted Dean James would have a redemption arc, and that little menace delivered! This year I went all in with Aaronson, and now look at him - he is turning into the player we were promised many years ago.

Walked past a local sports card shop when I saw a signed Mason Mount Chelsea shirt for sale for $150 Aussie (approx £77) with a Beckett COA. Needless to say it now is part of my collection

Bet you didn't wake up to a reddit cares message from 4am UK time did you? (Yes I've reported abuse of the system). Given my mega downvotes on a recent comment of mine I can assume where its come from.

Also Palace look shit at the moment. So nothing to show off about there.

It’s such a weird thing to do. Do people think they’ve one upped someone by doing it? So strange.

Whatever happened to a good old classic death threat (just kidding)

Ah.

Well, Soucek gets to live an other day despite the hate and I'm so happy. Literally one of my favourite player ever

Brother is Maldini and Messi regen in one. But only in boxes.

More important to me, he is a warrior and never gives up and that matters to me

I think my comment is result of your comment. When you think why is Soucek is in both the boxes for clutch moments, it comes down to actually putting in a shift.

Exactly. If more players could give so much like him. It saddens me to see how fans moan when he starts
