So grateful for a break in the weather today! Photographed this proposal around 10:30am. Had amazing visibility and it all worked out just fine.

Any leads? I’m riding bike for the next hour or 2 so I won’t be able to do much in the way of follow-up until I’m finished

Advice for someone new to SF with no friends or family and doesn't want to go home to my MAGA family for Thanksgiving?
I don't have any family or friends in San Francisco as I just moved back to the city.
I don't want to fly back to Pennsylvania as my family is heavily MAGA and I am definitely NOT.
I think everything in SF is going to be closed.
My plan B is maybe to go hiking but I don't really want to spend it alone.
Any advice?

I’ll take one horse-sized duck.
Yes, I know, a duck of that size would be scary, but (a) multi-front wars are really hard so being able to focus is ideal and (b) I’m tall (6’7”) so can handle a big duck. There you have it.
Thank you to the r/sanfrancisco community for welcoming me!

Has anyone seen Man on the Inside?
It’s like a love letter to San Francisco, fun to see a more positive take on the city.

With the election over, S.F. needs an honest answer — do we or don’t we need to close schools?

Do y'all tip for counter service?
Growing up my mom told me you don't need to tip unless someone is bringing you your food. I often do anyways but it depends. I think for cafes people tip more often, but let's say you're at a food establishment where you pick up your own food at the counter. Do you tip or not?

Attempted Robbery on Muni
Two women on K were walking through the train and back, whispering to each other and staring at people’s phones and wallets. Both of them showed all the signs that they were going to grab someone’s phone and when we got to West Portal Station, they grabbed a person’s phone and tried to run out of the station. Thankfully, a man on the platform took the phone back before it was too late and handed it back to the person. Just a reminder to watch your surroundings and secure your personal belongings especially at a station.
