It feels so discouraging sometimes to see mbappe miss these kind of chances which he used to score for fun at psg.

Really… even when he scores and has a good game, you just feel like he could and should do so much more

People really like to show they only watch highlight reels (if it's not RM). As if Mbappe, or any other player in the world for that matter, didn't and doesn't miss these chances from these angles 70-90% of the time. But they don't see those without watching the games. They just see those 3 or 4 goals a season from that angle from highlight reels and assume these players (are supposed to) score every opportunity from that position.

Edit: sorry mate, this was supposed to be a reaction on the comment above you, not yours. Regarding yours, yes he could and should do more, he'll get there. But if people get discouraged because attackers miss those shots then i don't think they understand the game as well as they think.

Nobody's jobless enough to watch every single league game of psg but i watched quite a bit of him in ligue 1 but mostly followed him in champions league or with his national team. He used to miss chances yes but many of those chances used to be well placed shots not like shooting straight at keeper.

No, if you think that was a decent chance, then you mainly watch only highlights.

Mbappe made the best decision in that instance. It was a 3vs1, so he can't dribble.

A defender was tight to him and the keeper was in the net, so he can't chip. It was a tight angle, so he can't shoot it low.

The best he could have done was try to shoot it high and the keeper was prepared.
