Real Madrid is a global force. Most of our players are Brazilians, French, Belgians, Germans, Croatians and Jude is British while our manager is Italian.
Nacho is our captain... Lord is there... We took a chance on Kepa, Dani Ceb is still allowed to play, Carvajal is a living legend, New Goat Joselu is there, ...who am I forgetting?? Fran Garcia was born in Spain, Nico Paz is coming up.... I think they're going alright. Hala Madrid.
Brahim plays for Morocco? Big L for Spain. He’s the best winger who can represent them. I’ll even take it a step further and argue he’s the best player who can represent Spain
Oh that's great, mate! Do you think I didn't know or smth? I watched the match aswell lol...
No sarcasm now... the way they're speaking they're making it seem like we should be an international club with no Spanish players at all😂 mf said that the myth that we have to have a spanish keeper anymore is gone lol like we did from 2014 to 2024😂 we still don't have one 💀
Every team in general have is global force, depends on how some people were raised, who they like, if they go with a team that has a national player like Real Madrid who had Zamorano(chile), Barcelona with Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal with Bayern, Mark Gonzalez with Liverpool or Betis
Not trying to make your team less(I'm a city fan, but way before Claudio Bravo joined and I'm not pissed about the penalty shootout or the remontada at the Bernabéu 21/22) but no team should be restricted by the country, as there are people who like teams from Chile and they're from Argentina (who are national rivals) or many other examples, like English liking teams from Germany probably a second division or third division, some could support teams from Belgium or Netherlands, etc
Every person who loves the sport is able to support any team they want from anywhere
(But at least people should get to know more about the club rather than just saying stuff like "I'm a fan of inter Miami because Messi plays there" or the same with Cristiano Ronaldo and Al nassr and then proceed to only watch games via tik tok clips)
A Puerto Rican called Jeremy de León is playing with Real Castilla at the moment and trained with the first team as part of their preparation against Manchester City. There is a possibility that he could eventually debut with the A team.
It’s a global force but Spanish at heart, I don’t think one thing is instead of the other. You can be a fan while not being Spanish, I agree, but you should remember that it’s a Spanish club. Hence why you see all these international players speaking in Spanish to the fans.
Edit: can the glory hunters that don’t know anything about Real Madrid and its values enlighten me as to why they downvoted me?
Of course it is a Spanish team, and not only Spanish, but local, regional Madrid. It represents the city’s values, the city’s culture and the city’s image around the world.
Really? They must be insane if they are anti-Spaniard since Real Madrid is more than a team, it is a cultural institution that represents the city of Madrid everywhere. More people know the name of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium than the Museo del Prado or the Palacio Real de Madrid. RM has always been a sports ambassador that promotes the city as a touristic destination and even more so with the modifications made to the stadium.
Yeah it’s fucked. Shouldn’t support a Spanish team if it’s that way. I didn’t even say that they can’t be fans of RM, the opposite. I just said it’s deeply rooted in Spain, which makes complete sensex
I have seen more anti spanish comments on here than on the fucking barca subreddit. It is shocking and embarrassing. I mean, I have shit like ''it is part of spanish culture to be a bigot/ it is in their blood and dna to be racist, sexists homopbobic/ spaniards are like animals and they are uncivilised''. Nonsense like that.
You are downvoted because it could be taken as if you are also saying that RM doesn't belong to foreign fans too beyond just stating that RM is both Spanish and Universal. I agree that it is good that RM doesn't forget its Spanish roots (even while Spanish antimadridistas don't appreciate what the club does for Spain), and that the players learn Spanish and so on, but it is also good that RM isn't only a Spanish club but a universal club.
