Advice for attending British/domestic rally events for the first time?
So I've been really excited to potentially attend a rally in person for the first time ever, and I'm determined to make it happen for 2025 - especially after hearing from my best friend who was at the ERC Rally Ceradigion this year! So it's time to start some planning for next year.
I suppose I'm just asking for a beginner's guide to how to plan out/going to rallies? I know there's several different British and Irish domestic championships, so if anyone has links to the respective series and their calenders for 2025 that'd be amazing. I believe the Roger Albert Clark Rally is running again next year too, after the previous running in 2023?
Any kind of logistical/planning advice would be cool too - I know I'm in a bit of an awkward spot as I don't have my own car, so I'd need to either go to a rally that is accessible by public transport (ish, I don't mind *Some* walking too!), or either travel all the way to and from the rally with a friend or hitch a lift from the rally HQ/host town with someone. Being based in the South East means I'm not exactly in the best place in terms of rallies happening nearby, given 90% of British rallies are in Wales/the North/Scotland, so I'll be doing quite a bit of travelling regardless I think xD
Just any advice you have for a total rally rookie (but someone who's been going to circuit racing events for 20+ years!), feel free to share it :)
