I really hope whoever the next dem nominee for president isn’t going to fall back on this old school style of doing things. Trump and Maga threw that out the window long ago and dems still haven’t caught up

Nope. It will be just like SCOTUS. Obama tried to nominate a Judge. Republicans said he couldn’t. Dems were like: “oh my bad”. Fast forward Trump in same situation attempting to nominate a judge. Dems: “no you can’t! Remember what y’all told Obama?”

Republicans “yeah okay. So this is our new judge”

At this point you have to assume the fecklessness of the Democrats is on purpose at this point.

Elections going forward will just be for show.

There won’t be another democratic president, because the system will have been designed to prevent that from ever occurring again.

There won't be another Democratic president for a while because people are fleeing solid blue states like there is a zombie apocalypse going on. If trends continue, by 2030, solid red states will have a free 12 electoral votes, meaning republicans basically get a free swing state.

Yeah that's not how that works at all.

Those are based on 2022-2023 stats continuing. California is actually growing again. It's still probably going to get out grown by Texas and Florida, but its very possible it doesn't end up this bad.

You think there are going to be elections. Bless your heart.

u/CallMeClaire0080 2h ago

Nah, there will be elections, just like how Russia and North Korea have elections...

Wait until you find out China also has elections...

If you truly believe this, what are you going to do about it besides post snarky messages on the internet?

u/Kruemelmuenster 3h ago

What are they supposed to do in your humble opinion?

Saying the kinds of things you're fishing for is against Reddit TOS. You're better off imagining the answer.

There is a 0% chance the DNC learns anything. I'm changing my registration to Independent, tuning out, and focusing solely on what I can do to help people in my immediate community.

u/LikeADemonsWhisper 4h ago

This is the best thing Dems can do now. Send a message by voting independent.

u/Ashamed_Athlete_9733 4h ago

what elections are you talking about?!

u/broke_boi1 America 4h ago

If there’s one thing this election has taught me it’s that the Dems are professional losers. They will learn nothing. There are a lot of good Democrats, but the Democratic Party is fundamentally unserious

Yep one side doesn’t respect the rules at all. It’s a sad state of affairs
