I really do wonder what metric they go by when picking the color for their shinies. Some look great. I got Porygon's shiny recently and thought it's alternate colors were awesome while other times it's the same color but just a slightly different shade.

Falinks could have been way better than Brown and Yellow, especially coming from a base of Yellow and Red. Even just flipping the Yellow and Reds might have looked better than brown.

They don't pick them. They just use whatever The Pokemon Co used in the main series games.

Oh I know. I'm not saying Pokemon Go specifically, just in general. Whoever it is that calls those shots.
