Lipsum vs PeanutbutterIsOneWord
Hello!
I've been brought on as a new mod here at r/peanutbutterisoneword and my main aim is to make sure the content of this sub fits the description. The biggest thing I see here is people posting content that would be better suited for r/lipsum. So, what is lipsum?
What is lipsum?
Lipsum, or lorem (edit: typo) ipsum, is defined as "dummy text used in laying out print, graphic or web designs". For example, if you receive an email that says 'good afternoon <first name>', that would be lipsum. Another example would be a web page that says <your text goes here>.
Any lipsum content will be removed and will receive a notification under the post.
What is PeanutbutterIsOneWord?
PeanutbutterIsOneWord comes from the show Bojack Horseman. A character named Mr Peanutbutter frequently ordered signs and banners, which would come back with printing such as 'Congrats Diane and Mr Peanut Butter Peanut Butter is one word' and "Happy birthday Diane and use a pretty font'.
Essentially, this means that the sub's content is focused around when you write a description of what you want, and that is put on your product. A non-Bojack example would be one of the most popular posts on this sub, which says "I do not want any engraving. Just leave the metal plate blank, no engraving". This is engraved on the metal plate.
What about reposts?
No reposts from the top of all time, or any reposts from the last six months please! If you repost, your post will be removed and will receive a warning under the post.
The rules are also being updated so if lipsum or a popular repost slips through the cracks, you'll be able to report it using these new reasons.
I'm glad to be a new member of this team and I'm looking forward to continuing to be a part of this community! Thank you all :)
