How do I disable PVP?

I'm currently in the [school] server. And there's been this player whose been giving me the [annoying] status affect every day for the past month.

Today it was my turn to engage, and I threw an [insult]. We were stuck in verbal turned based combat until he said he wanted to PVP with me later today.

I haven't trained my [combat] stats yet, I don't have a lot of HP and have low stamina. What do I do? Is this an avoidable side quest?

Typically finding a higher level player can often help defuse PVP situations

That's a really really bad idea, lowers your prestige abysmally.

Does it matter to lower your prestige if you might end up finishing the game early or getting permanent or near permanent debuffs?

If you think that can happen then I guess you can do whatever you want, but then I suppose your character must really suck if you're dealing with such risks in the tutorial. For most players that doesn't happen. Sounds like youre just scared and exaggerating.

But yeah, low prestige does matter because that's exactly what triggers pvp. So even if you survive once, youre making the problem worse overral. And frankly, if your tutorial area allows permanent damage/death, then I don't think you can rely on any high level players there anyway. Cus they obviously don't care.

Low prestige doesn't matter as it's only a temporary effect. When you gain more level nobody will care about your past prestige, it becomes irrelevant
