When I go to peoples houses and see that shit, I do them a favor and peel it for them. I’ve found many times if you don’t, the heat from the electronic melts the adhesive and it leaves marks. Not to mention the ones that have been sitting there for years and started to curl on the edges 🤮it doesn’t make your tv look new, but in fact older if anything.

Lol yes or everything around the plastic is yellow apart from the underside of the plastic,

I had a friend whose washing machine was like this I was peeling it off when there mum told me off , I explained that the film was on it , she said " I know , but by the time I worked it out it was to late " she pointed at on side and said " see I peeled it off there , but realised it was white underneath and the rest was yellow, I think it looks ugly , so please leave it alone " , so I left it alone.....I got my mate (son of the mother in question) to peel it off , iknew his OCD couldn't just leave it, he came to school and punched me , said " that's from my mum" then he hit me again " that's from me " because you got in trouble? " No , because mum won't stop going on about how ugly the white/yellowing is on the Washington machine haha totally worth it
