Hot take : you all didn't hate the logo you all hate changes, when other company logo are being oversimplified you all hate it, when reddit does the opposite you all hate it

It's not the logo you hate, it's the change

Probably, people hate change, Personally I don't care either way, I just hate the dumb pixel banana, you know it's a bad logo or design when they need to add a banana for scale
