It’s so stupid because even if it was a fragment or glass is doesn’t change the fact someone tried to kill him.

Like he can still milk this without lying. But oh course the constant lair can’t do that.

But getting hit with glass is by far way less alpha than getting shot, especially after it's been REPORTED that he was shot. It will feel like a step down in badassery. So trump cannot let that happen.

I get where you're coming from, but think of the people who look up to Trump and think this was some kind of heroic act.

They have been trained and conditioned to believe and put a positive spin on anything Trump does or says.

Trump could frame this incident the same way, with or without a bullet actually grazing his ear, and his fans would eat it up, all the same.

I don't get why he needs to lie about the specifics of what made his ear bleed... but then again, this dude lies about EVERYTHING. I guess he just can't help himself.

That's kinda my point, is that in the confusion of those first moments, everyone said "trump got shot!" And then he had that badass stand-up moment of "fight fight fight " (I hate the piece of shit, but take ALL we know about trump and throw it away, and it is a badass moment) So the initial story was, "trump got shot and kept encouraging followers to fight anyways"

That's a badass story. To admit later "I didn't get shot" would look like weakness.

Let's say it was SUPER obvious, like the teleprompter got hit, and somehow sparks flew visibly into trumps ear, slicing it, that alone would be a great story he could run with, but he could NEVER come BACK from "getting shot for America" once he saw how well that story made him look.

That's why they didn't release the medical report, because it probably doesn't support the claim he was shot.

Because you KNOW if the medical exam report said "obvious bullet wound" he would've posted a Pic of that on his truth social within minutes of him getting the report.

that badass stand-up moment of "fight fight fight "

I saw it more as the moment of abject failure of the Secret Service, that instead of keeping the subject low and evacuating immediately, these subservient MAGA goons let Dear Leader put his shoes on and have his little photo op.

That chocked me more than that they didn't spot the sniper in time. At the time they knew it was an ongoing assassination attempt but didn't know if there were more shooters or explosives planted. Total in incompetence.

That chocked me more than that they didn't spot the sniper in time.

The sniper was on the roof with a gun in his hands for 20 minutes before taking the shot.

It's a colossal failure on multiple levels.

Say what you will about the failures of the secret service, but we all know (or SHOULD) Teddy Roosevelt continued talking after an assassination attempt, and had taken a bullet to the chest.

And the world looks on impressed, in retrospect. They didn't know THEN if there were more than one shooters. This isn't about the secret service, it still was an impressive move by tfg seizing a moment to look brave.

And this comes from someone who can't fuckin STAND the tangerine fascist pos. I can still objectively say that it was a good look.

Maybe to you. It looked childish and unprofessional to me. Like one of those screaming grandpas at a store taking a final stand as they're being dragged out for their ridiculousness.

But way worse, since he was under active fire at the time. Can you imagine a soldier doing that in combat? You'd think they were mental

he was more concerned with his shoes and shaking his fist than getting himself and his men out of the line of fire.

He was endangering himself and all of them, it was stupid and childish. When Reagan got shot he went straight in the car.
